The main differences between the variants are color and material. Ivory and white versions use resin, while bronze, black, and gold use anodized aluminum. • VM08635.A: Color Ivory. This resin version has an off-white tone that works well with cream or ivory interior switch surrounds.

This plate family is meant for Vimar modular installations that use a 3-module flush box and the matching mounting frame. It is the right form factor when you need a single visible module within that wider box layout.

For marine interiors, that usually means protected switch positions for lights, fans, accessories, or other cabin controls where appearance matters as much as fit. It is not a weatherproof exterior trim piece and should not be treated as one.

Installation and location

Snap fixing keeps the front of the plate clean and helps when the device behind it needs to be checked or replaced later. That is useful on boats where service access can be limited and you want trim pieces that come off without front screws.

Because the range is IP00, it should be installed in dry or protected spaces away from spray, washdowns, and open exterior mounting positions. It is a better match for cabins, saloons, enclosed helm areas, and other sheltered onboard locations.
