Overview
The Lumitec 101638 is a Kraken Command Center that powers and controls a Kraken dock lighting system from one weatherproof enclosure. It accepts 100 to 300VAC, 50/60Hz input and provides 24VDC output for the connected lights, with a maximum 480W load rating for the system. The housing is IP67-rated and measures 15.25 in tall x 11 in wide x 5.4 in deep.
This unit includes a POCO digital lighting control module for wireless control from a connected smart device, so you can group lights and adjust color or intensity when used with PLI-compatible fixtures. It is built to run up to six Kraken underwater lights (sold separately) and can also be used as the hub for a mixed layout that includes Nautilus piling lights and Scallop pathway lights.

Installation and setup
Plan the mounting location so every light cable can reach the enclosure without being stretched, pinched, or routed where boats can chafe it. The enclosure is intended for wet outdoor locations, but it should still be mounted to a solid structure with the cable entries pointing down to help shed water. Leave breathing room behind the enclosure for airflow and service access to breakers, fuses, and wiring.
All installer-made cable connections should be kept out of the water. In tidal areas, account for tidal swing so junction points stay well above the highest expected waterline.
Electrical and system integration
This system uses high-voltage AC input and should be installed by a qualified person following applicable electrical codes. Feed it from a GFCI-protected circuit. The low-voltage side is 24VDC, and the command center is designed to be switched by a timer, photocell, or toggle switch upstream of the receptacle when needed. Do not put the command center on a dimmer.
When distributing loads across channels, stay within the channel limits for the installation: channels 1 and 2 share a combined 10A limit, and channels 3 and 4 share a combined 10A limit. Keeping wiring runs protected from abrasion and strain is especially important under docks and around pilings.
Compatibility and fit
The command center is meant for Kraken modular dock-light layouts and works with PLI-compatible Lumitec DC lighting circuits. It supports mixed systems that combine underwater lights with above-water pathway and piling fixtures, as long as the wiring is configured to match the fixture type and control method used in the system.
Use cases on the dock
This setup makes sense for private docks, lifts, and marina slips where you want one enclosure to manage multiple lighting points rather than separate power supplies scattered around the dock. It is a good match for owners who want to organize lights into zones and control scenes from a phone or tablet while staying within a single centralized power and control hub.
Maintenance and care
Periodically check that cable glands stay tight, wiring remains supported, and any exposed runs are not rubbing on hardware. Keep the enclosure closed and the sealing surfaces clean so the IP rating is maintained, and replace fuses only with the correct type and rating for the circuit.
Shipping
We ship worldwide from the United States. Rates are calculated at checkout based on destination and package weight. Some items include free shipping, which will show automatically. Not every product is eligible for international shipping; checkout will confirm eligibility. We do not ship to PO Boxes except through USPS, and not all packages qualify.
Processing and dispatch
Most orders are verified, packed, and handed to the carrier within 1 to 2 business days. Some products may need extra handling time or ship directly from the manufacturer. For certain international orders, inventory transfers between warehouses may add time. If any delay is expected, we will let you know the dispatch date.
Delivery and tracking
Deliveries are handled by trusted carriers such as USPS, UPS, FedEx, and DHL. Estimated arrival times appear at checkout and depend on your location and the service you choose. These are estimates and can be affected by customs or carrier disruptions. A shipping confirmation with a tracking link is emailed when your order ships, and tracking may take up to 24 hours to update. You can also view tracking in your account.
Duties, taxes, and support
International customers are responsible for any customs duties, taxes, and fees charged by the destination country. If these charges are refused and a shipment returns to us, the carrier’s return cost and any re-entry customs fees will be deducted from the refund. If your order is late or you need help, contact cs@qualityboatparts.com and we will assist you.
Quality Boat Parts is a reseller. Many items include a manufacturer’s warranty, and all warranty service is handled directly by the manufacturer. We do not manage or administer warranty claims on behalf of customers.
Warranty terms, coverage, and duration are set by each manufacturer. Issues involving defects, repairs, or replacements must be addressed with the manufacturer’s support team. When available, the warranty period is listed on the product page. If it is not shown, contact us or the manufacturer for details before purchasing.
To start a claim, the customer must contact the manufacturer and follow their process. Keep your proof of purchase and original packaging, and register the product if the manufacturer requires it, as these are often needed for warranty service.
We are happy to help you find the right contact or documentation, but we cannot decide outcomes or intervene in claim resolutions. For guidance, email cs@qualityboatparts.com.
