Overview
The Garmin 010-01333-00 is a 4 kW open-array radar pedestal for GMR 424 xHD2 and GMR 426 xHD2 systems, supplied as the pedestal only (no antenna array).
It is meant to be paired with a compatible 4 ft or 6 ft GMR xHD2 open array, and it accepts 10 to 32 V DC input power (typical draw 55 W, max 160 W). On the water, the pedestal drives the array rotation and radar transmission so your chartplotter can show targets close-in and at longer ranges.
This is a practical choice when you are replacing a damaged pedestal, assembling an open-array radar setup from components, or keeping a spare on a boat that depends on radar for fog, night approaches, and offshore runs.
Key features
- Pedestal-only component for Garmin GMR 424 xHD2 and GMR 426 xHD2 open-array radar installations
- Built to run with a compatible 4 ft or 6 ft GMR xHD2 open-array antenna (array not included)
- 4 kW transmit power for open-array radar performance
- Power input range from 10 to 32 V DC, with typical 55 W draw and 160 W maximum (pedestal power figures)
- Supports dual-range radar operation when used with a compatible Garmin display and network setup
- Status LED on the unit helps verify start-up and operation during installation and troubleshooting
Compatibility and fit
This pedestal is intended for Garmin xHD2 open-array installations using a 4 ft or 6 ft antenna. Confirm the array length you plan to install and verify that your radar-capable Garmin chartplotter or onboard network has an available Garmin Marine Network connection for the radar.
Open-array scanners need a solid, level mount with clear space for the antenna to rotate through 360 degrees. On sailboats, watch for shrouds and stays that can shadow the beam. On powerboats, keep it clear of towers, antennas, and outriggers where possible.
Installation and setup
Plan cable routing before you drill: keep bends gentle, add a drip loop before connectors, and seal deck penetrations so water cannot migrate into the laminate. After mounting, complete radar setup on your display, including selecting the installed antenna size and setting the heading alignment if needed.
During power-up, the status LED should briefly show solid red while the unit readies, then transition to flashing green during normal operation.
Electrical and system integration
Provide a dedicated breaker and wiring sized for the radar load so the pedestal sees stable voltage during transmit and while the array is rotating. The 10 to 32 V DC input range works with many 12 V and 24 V systems when the circuit is built correctly and voltage drop is kept under control.
Protect terminations from corrosion, secure the harness so it cannot chafe in vibration, and maintain a proper ground path to reduce electrical noise across the electronics suite.
Safety and placement
Radar transmits radio-frequency energy. Mount the scanner where people are not normally seated or standing when it is operating, and avoid aiming the beam through occupied areas on a regular basis.

What's included
- GMR 424 xHD2 pedestal assembly only (antenna array not included)
Maintenance and care
Rinse salt spray off the pedestal housing after heavy weather and check mounting fasteners periodically, especially after the first few trips. If the radar picture looks inconsistent, inspect cable connections and strain relief first since vibration and washdowns can work fittings loose over time.
Shipping
We ship worldwide from the United States. Rates are calculated at checkout based on destination and package weight. Some items include free shipping, which will show automatically. Not every product is eligible for international shipping; checkout will confirm eligibility. We do not ship to PO Boxes except through USPS, and not all packages qualify.

International customers are responsible for any customs duties, taxes, and fees charged by the destination country. If these charges are refused and a shipment returns to us, the carrier’s return cost and any re-entry customs fees will be deducted from the refund. If your order is late or you need help, contact cs@qualityboatparts.com and we will assist you.
Quality Boat Parts is a reseller. Many items include a manufacturer’s warranty, and all warranty service is handled directly by the manufacturer. We do not manage or administer warranty claims on behalf of customers.
Warranty terms, coverage, and duration are set by each manufacturer. Issues involving defects, repairs, or replacements must be addressed with the manufacturer’s support team. When available, the warranty period is listed on the product page. If it is not shown, contact us or the manufacturer for details before purchasing.
To start a claim, the customer must contact the manufacturer and follow their process. Keep your proof of purchase and original packaging, and register the product if the manufacturer requires it, as these are often needed for warranty service.
We are happy to help you find the right contact or documentation, but we cannot decide outcomes or intervene in claim resolutions. For guidance, email cs@qualityboatparts.com.
