Overview

The Garmin 010-12928-02 is a thru-hull fairing block used with the Panoptix LiveScope LVS32-TH thru-hull down transducer to keep the transducer face parallel to the water line for consistent sonar alignment.

On hull sections where the deadrise at the mounting point is more than 5 degrees, the fairing block lets you match the hull angle while keeping the transducer level. The block is meant to be cut and shaped to the hull, with a maximum cut angle of 25 degrees and a minimum remaining thickness of 2 mm (1/16 in.).

It is a good match for boats where you want a clean thru-hull LiveScope install and you have enough interior access to work the block, sealant, and mounting hardware from both sides of the hull.

Key features
  • Made for the Garmin Panoptix LiveScope LVS32-TH thru-hull down transducer
  • Keeps the transducer aligned parallel to the water line when hull deadrise would otherwise tilt it
  • Recommended when the deadrise at the mounting location exceeds 5 degrees
  • Cut-to-fit fairing block; maximum cutting angle is 25 degrees
  • Maintain at least 2 mm (1/16 in.) of material after cutting for proper support
  • The remaining offcut can be used as an interior backing block during installation
Compatibility and fit

This fairing block is intended for thru-hull mounting of the LVS32-TH transducer as part of a Panoptix LiveScope system. It is not a general-purpose fairing for other transducers, so match it to the LVS32-TH mounting hardware and the hull template used for that install.

Plan the mounting location so there is smooth water flow outside the hull and clear access inside. On single-drive boats, keep the transducer out of the propeller path. On twin-drive boats, the area between the drives is commonly used when hull shape and access allow.

Installation and setup

Measure the deadrise angle at the exact spot where the transducer will sit before you cut the block. The fairing block is trimmed to that angle, then shaped so it sits flush on the hull and presents a fair surface to the water.

Use marine sealant between the fairing block and the hull to keep the thru-hull watertight, and remove excess sealant from the exterior before it cures so water flows smoothly over the block and transducer.

Maintenance and care

During routine bottom checks or haul-outs, inspect the fairing block for impact damage and marine growth. Keep the leading edges clean so the water flow stays smooth, and re-bed with fresh sealant if the transducer is removed for service.

Shipping
We ship worldwide from the United States. Rates are calculated at checkout based on destination and package weight. Some items include free shipping, which will show automatically. If your order is late or you need help, contact cs@qualityboatparts.com and we will assist you.

Quality Boat Parts is a reseller. Many items include a manufacturer’s warranty, and all warranty service is handled directly by the manufacturer. We do not manage or administer warranty claims on behalf of customers.

Warranty terms, coverage, and duration are set by each manufacturer. Issues involving defects, repairs, or replacements must be addressed with the manufacturer’s support team. When available, the warranty period is listed on the product page. If it is not shown, contact us or the manufacturer for details before purchasing.

To start a claim, the customer must contact the manufacturer and follow their process. Keep your proof of purchase and original packaging, and register the product if the manufacturer requires it, as these are often needed for warranty service.

We are happy to help you find the right contact or documentation, but we cannot decide outcomes or intervene in claim resolutions. For guidance, email cs@qualityboatparts.com.
