Overview
The Garmin 010-11092-30 is an external wireless temperature sensor that sends ambient temperature to compatible Garmin devices using the 2.4 GHz ANT+ wireless communications protocol. It runs on a user-replaceable 3 V CR2032 battery (up to 1 year of typical battery life), is water resistant to 10 m (32.9 ft), and operates from -4°F to 140°F (-20°C to 60°C).
On a boat, this is a simple way to track real outside-air temperature without your device being influenced by body heat, a warm helm, or a sun-baked console. Clip it where it can “breathe” in open air, then view the reading on your compatible handheld or wearable nearby.
Key features
- Wireless temperature sensor for compatible Garmin devices using ANT+ (2.4 GHz)
- Operating temperature range from -4°F to 140°F (-20°C to 60°C)
- Water resistant to 10 m (32.9 ft) for use in wet, exposed conditions
- User-replaceable CR2032 3 V battery with up to 1 year of typical battery life
- External reading helps avoid heat soak and body-heat influence that can skew onboard temperature checks
- Pairs from close range (within about 9.8 ft / 3 m), which suits cockpit, cabin, or deck monitoring when your display device is nearby
Installation and setup
The sensor snaps into its clip and is meant to attach to a secure strap or loop. For marine use, common spots include a bimini or dodger strap, a life jacket lash point, a cockpit bag strap, or a rail-mounted gear lanyard, as long as the sensor is exposed to ambient air.
During pairing, keep the sensor close to the receiving device (within about 3 m / 9.8 ft) and away from other ANT+ sensors. Once paired, it can be used as the temperature source your device displays instead of relying on its internal sensor.
Compatibility and system notes
This is a self-powered wireless sensor. It does not wire into a boat’s 12 V or 24 V system and it does not connect to NMEA networks. Temperature is sent over ANT+ and will only appear on Garmin devices that support pairing with this type of temperature sensor.
Use cases on board
Useful for skippers who want a quick read on real deck temperature during coastal cruising, a night watch, or early-morning runs, and for anglers who track air temperature shifts that can affect conditions on the water. It also fits well on small craft where you carry a compatible handheld or wear a compatible watch and want the reading to stay consistent while you move around the boat.
Maintenance and care
Rinse salt spray off with fresh water when needed and let it dry before storage. If readings stop updating, replace the CR2032 battery and confirm the battery cover is properly seated and secured.

Shipping
We ship worldwide from the United States. Rates are calculated at checkout based on destination and package weight. Some items include free shipping, which will show automatically. Not every product is eligible for international shipping; checkout will confirm eligibility. We do not ship to PO Boxes except through USPS, and not all packages qualify.
Processing and dispatch
Most orders are verified, packed, and handed to the carrier within 1 to 2 business days. Some products may need extra handling time or ship directly from the manufacturer. For certain international orders, inventory transfers between warehouses may add time. If any delay is expected, we will let you know the dispatch date.
Delivery and tracking
Deliveries are handled by trusted carriers such as USPS, UPS, FedEx, and DHL. Estimated arrival times appear at checkout and depend on your location and the service you choose. These are estimates and can be affected by customs or carrier disruptions. A shipping confirmation with a tracking link is emailed when your order ships, and tracking may take up to 24 hours to update. You can also view tracking in your account.
Duties, taxes, and support
International customers are responsible for any customs duties, taxes, and fees charged by the destination country. If these charges are refused and a shipment returns to us, the carrier’s return cost and any re-entry customs fees will be deducted from the refund. If your order is late or you need help, contact cs@qualityboatparts.com and we will assist you.
Quality Boat Parts is a reseller. Many items include a manufacturer’s warranty, and all warranty service is handled directly by the manufacturer. We do not manage or administer warranty claims on behalf of customers.
Warranty terms, coverage, and duration are set by each manufacturer. Issues involving defects, repairs, or replacements must be addressed with the manufacturer’s support team. When available, the warranty period is listed on the product page. If it is not shown, contact us or the manufacturer for details before purchasing.
To start a claim, the customer must contact the manufacturer and follow their process. Keep your proof of purchase and original packaging, and register the product if the manufacturer requires it, as these are often needed for warranty service.
We are happy to help you find the right contact or documentation, but we cannot decide outcomes or intervene in claim resolutions. For guidance, email cs@qualityboatparts.com.
