Overview

The Garmin NSAF630L is an electronic chart coverage for Africa and the Middle East, supplied as Garmin Navionics+ or Garmin Navionics Vision+ in either microSD/SD card or download format.

It combines coastal and inland mapping and is meant to be used on a compatible chartplotter. The included one-year subscription supports daily chart updates through the ActiveCaptain app, with up to 5,000 updates available per day.

On board, it helps with passage planning and fishing detail, with tools like Auto Guidance+, depth range shading, shallow water shading, and contour detail that can display down to 1 foot in many areas.

Key features
  • Africa and Middle East coverage with coastal details plus inland waters in the same chart product
  • Includes a one-year subscription with daily chart updates through the ActiveCaptain app, with up to 5,000 updates available per day
  • Auto Guidance+ for route planning support on compatible systems
  • Depth range shading with up to 10 color-shaded target depth options for quick visual depth cues
  • Up to 1-foot contours for clearer bottom structure detail when navigating or looking for fish-holding areas
  • Shallow water shading to highlight user-defined shallow depths you want to avoid
  • ActiveCaptain Community access for local points of interest and on-the-water notes contributed by other boaters
Variants

This coverage is offered in multiple configurations so you can match the chart type and delivery format that fits your setup.

Versions vary between Garmin Navionics+ and Garmin Navionics Vision+, and formats vary between microSD/SD and download. All configurations are for the Africa and Middle East coverage area.

  • 010-C1228-20: Version Garmin Navionics+; Format microSD/SD. A physical card format for chartplotters that read charts from a microSD or SD slot at the helm.
  • 010-D1830-20: Version Garmin Navionics+; Format Download. Digital delivery when you prefer to load the chart data rather than using a preloaded card.
  • 010-C1228-00: Version Garmin Navionics Vision+; Format microSD/SD. A physical card format with the Vision+ version for chartplotters that read charts from a microSD or SD slot.
  • 010-D1830-00: Version Garmin Navionics Vision+; Format Download. Digital delivery with the Vision+ version when you prefer to load the chart data rather than using a preloaded card.
Coverage highlights

The NSAF630L area covers the coast of Africa from Tripoli, Libya through the Red Sea and around the Cape to Dakar, Senegal, including the Suez Canal and the Levant. It also includes the coast of the Arabian Peninsula and the Persian Gulf, plus island groups such as Madagascar, Zanzibar, St Helena, Ascension, Réunion, Mauritius, Seychelles, and Comoros.

Compatibility and fit

Confirm your chartplotter supports Garmin Navionics+ and/or Garmin Navionics Vision+ and that it matches the format you are buying. Card versions require an available microSD or SD slot, while download versions require a compatible way to load the chart data to your system.

If you routinely run routes that cross into adjacent regions, plan for the neighboring coverage as well so you are not relying on edge coverage when you are close to a boundary.

Updates and planning notes

Daily updates are tied to the included one-year subscription and are handled through the ActiveCaptain app. Route guidance features like Auto Guidance+ are planning tools and should be checked against local conditions, notices, and what you see on the water.

Who it suits on board

This chart coverage is a good match for cruising and delivery boats working the Red Sea, Mediterranean approaches, the Arabian Peninsula, and the Indian Ocean islands, as well as anglers who want contour detail for finding structure. It also fits crews who like keeping charts current between voyages instead of waiting for periodic updates.

Shipping
We ship worldwide from the United States. Rates are calculated at checkout based on destination and package weight. Some items include free shipping, which will show automatically. Not every product is eligible for international shipping; checkout will confirm eligibility. We do not ship to PO Boxes except through USPS, and not all packages qualify.

Processing and dispatch
Most orders are verified, packed, and handed to the carrier within 1 to 2 business days. Some products may need extra handling time or ship directly from the manufacturer. For certain international orders, inventory transfers between warehouses may add time. If any delay is expected, we will let you know the dispatch date.

Delivery and tracking
Deliveries are handled by trusted carriers such as USPS, UPS, FedEx, and DHL. Estimated arrival times appear at checkout and depend on your location and the service you choose. These are estimates and can be affected by customs or carrier disruptions. A shipping confirmation with a tracking link is emailed when your order ships, and tracking may take up to 24 hours to update. You can also view tracking in your account.

Duties, taxes, and support
International customers are responsible for any customs duties, taxes, and fees charged by the destination country. If these charges are refused and a shipment returns to us, the carrier’s return cost and any re-entry customs fees will be deducted from the refund. If your order is late or you need help, contact cs@qualityboatparts.com and we will assist you.

Quality Boat Parts is a reseller. Many items include a manufacturer’s warranty, and all warranty service is handled directly by the manufacturer. We do not manage or administer warranty claims on behalf of customers.

Warranty terms, coverage, and duration are set by each manufacturer. Issues involving defects, repairs, or replacements must be addressed with the manufacturer’s support team. When available, the warranty period is listed on the product page. If it is not shown, contact us or the manufacturer for details before purchasing.

To start a claim, the customer must contact the manufacturer and follow their process. Keep your proof of purchase and original packaging, and register the product if the manufacturer requires it, as these are often needed for warranty service.

We are happy to help you find the right contact or documentation, but we cannot decide outcomes or intervene in claim resolutions. For guidance, email cs@qualityboatparts.com.
