Overview

The Lopolight 300-039 is a double stacked 225° white masthead navigation light with a 5 nautical mile rating for vessels from 20 m to 50 m, built for vertical mounting.

It contains two individual lights that can be powered separately, so one circuit can act as the primary masthead light and the second can be kept as a standby. The unit runs on 22 to 32 VDC and draws about 7 W (0.3 A at 24 VDC), with an IP68 seal for exposed positions on the mast.

This fixture is a good match for larger motor yachts and sailboats where redundancy matters and space for multiple masthead housings is limited.

Key features
  • Two independent white 225° masthead lights in one body, each switchable separately
  • Visibility greater than 5 NM, sized for 20 m to 50 m vessels
  • Vertical mount format for mast or superstructure faces where the light needs to stay plumb
  • 22 to 32 VDC input, about 7 W total draw (0.3 A at 24 VDC)
  • IP68 construction with electronics potted for resistance to water ingress and vibration
  • Precision machined 6082 aluminum housing with hard-coat anodized finish and PMMA lens
  • Approved to COLREG72 and EN14744, with additional approvals including IEC 60945, USCG, and UL 1104
  • Operating temperature range of -25°C to +55°C
Installation and setup

Mount the light on a flat, rigid surface so the lens stays vertical and the 225° sector faces forward as intended. Keep the insulating rings and isolation pieces in place when fastening to metal structures, and seal fastener penetrations to keep water out of the mounting surface and wiring path.

Because the two lights are separate, plan for two switched feeds at the helm or electrical panel and label them clearly so crews can identify primary and secondary at a glance.

Electrical and system integration

The light is intended for 24 VDC nominal systems and operates across 22 to 32 VDC. It is pre-wired with two screened cables using 0.5 mm2 conductors; red is positive and black is negative for each circuit. Support the wiring near the fixture so motion and vibration are not carried into the cable entry point.

Compliance and visibility

This is a masthead light with a 225° arc and a 5 NM intensity rating, intended for installations where meeting sectoring and range requirements matters. Verify the mounting height and fore and aft placement on your vessel, especially when a second masthead light is required by length and configuration.

Maintenance and care

Rinse salt off the lens and housing during routine washdowns, and recheck fasteners and cable support after the first few trips in rough water. Avoid aggressive solvents on the PMMA lens and inspect for chafe where the leads enter the structure.

Quality Boat Parts is a reseller. Many items include a manufacturer’s warranty, and all warranty service is handled directly by the manufacturer. We do not manage or administer warranty claims on behalf of customers.

Warranty terms, coverage, and duration are set by each manufacturer. Issues involving defects, repairs, or replacements must be addressed with the manufacturer’s support team. When available, the warranty period is listed on the product page. If it is not shown, contact us or the manufacturer for details before purchasing.

To start a claim, the customer must contact the manufacturer and follow their process. Keep your proof of purchase and original packaging, and register the product if the manufacturer requires it, as these are often needed for warranty service.
