Overview

The Raymarine A80351 is a CPT-100DVS transom-mount CHIRP fishfinder and DownVision transducer for Raymarine sonar systems, with depth capability listed at 600 ft for DownVision and 900 ft for fishfinder sonar. It combines a conical CHIRP fishfinding element with a wide-beam DownVision element, giving anglers both traditional target returns and a more detailed view of bottom structure.

The transducer records depth and temperature, uses a urethane housing, and includes a 33 ft / 10 m cable for routing from the transom to the display or sonar module. Beam widths are listed at 25° and 60°, and the unit is rated for transom deadrise angles from 0° to 90°.

This is a practical replacement or system-build transducer for boats using compatible Raymarine DownVision equipment, especially trailer boats, center consoles, bay boats, and small cruisers where a transom installation keeps service access simple.

Key features
  • Transom-mount CPT-100DVS transducer with CHIRP fishfinder and DownVision sonar elements in one unit.
  • Depth capability listed at 600 ft for DownVision and 900 ft for fishfinder sonar.
  • Records depth and water temperature for fishing, navigation awareness, and general helm monitoring.
  • Urethane housing suited to regular marine use at the stern of the boat.
  • 33 ft / 10 m cable gives useful reach for routing through the transom and up to the helm area.
  • Approved for fiberglass, wood, and metal hull materials.
  • Works with transom deadrise angles from 0° to 90°.
  • Can be converted for trolling motor or hull mounting with the optional Raymarine mounting kit.
Installation and fit

For a transom installation, mount the transducer where it can stay in clean water flow while the boat is underway. Avoid locations directly behind strakes, through-hull fittings, steps, or heavy turbulence from the prop wash, because disrupted water can affect sonar returns.

The 33 ft / 10 m cable gives enough length for many small and mid-size helm layouts, but the cable path should be planned before drilling or sealing any openings. Use a proper marine sealant and a protected cable entry point when passing through the transom, and keep the cable clear of sharp edges, moving steering gear, and high-current wiring where possible.

Sonar use on board

The CHIRP fishfinder element is useful for reading depth and spotting fish targets, while DownVision helps show bottom shape, ledges, submerged structure, and changes in seabed detail. That mix makes this transducer a good fit for coastal fishing, inshore runs, lake use, and general depth awareness when paired with the right Raymarine display or sonar module.

Because it also records temperature, it can help anglers watch surface-water changes while moving between areas. For cruisers and day boats, the same depth and bottom information helps with anchoring, shoal awareness, and slow-speed navigation in unfamiliar water.

Compatibility and system integration

This transducer is intended for Raymarine DownVision-capable systems that support the CPT-100DVS connection. Before ordering, match the connector and sonar support to the display or sonar module on the boat, especially when replacing an older transducer or adding sonar to an existing networked helm.

It is a transducer only, not a standalone fishfinder. The final sonar performance depends on the connected Raymarine equipment, correct installation height, clean water flow at the transom, and proper cable routing.

Quality Boat Parts is a reseller. Many items include a manufacturer’s warranty, and all warranty service is handled directly by the manufacturer. We do not manage or administer warranty claims on behalf of customers.

Warranty terms, coverage, and duration are set by each manufacturer. Issues involving defects, repairs, or replacements must be addressed with the manufacturer’s support team. When available, the warranty period is listed on the product page. If it is not shown, contact us or the manufacturer for details before purchasing.

To start a claim, the customer must contact the manufacturer and follow their process. Keep your proof of purchase and original packaging, and register the product if the manufacturer requires it, as these are often needed for warranty service.
