Overview
The Garmin 010-10982-00 is a B60-20 tilted element thru-hull transducer that delivers traditional 50/200 kHz sonar at 600 W for depth and water-temperature readings. The 20° internal tilt is intended for hull deadrise angles of 16° to 24°, helping the beam point straight down when the housing is installed nearly flush to the bottom.
It uses a bronze thru-hull housing with a Garmin 6-pin connector on a 10 m (33 ft) cable. Installation requires a 60 mm (2-3/8 in) hole, and the profile outside the hull is about 5 mm (3/16 in), keeping drag low for boats that spend time on plane.
This is a solid fit for fiberglass or wood hulls where you want consistent bottom tracking for fishing or cruising, and you have a Garmin sounder or chartplotter that accepts a 6-pin, 50/200 kHz transducer input.

Compatibility and fit
This transducer is built around a traditional 50/200 kHz sonar element and a Garmin 6-pin connection, so it needs a compatible Garmin sounder port and sonar type. It is intended for fiberglass and wood hull materials; for metal hulls, a stainless-steel housing style is typically used instead of bronze.
The fixed 20° tilt is not adjustable, so deadrise matters. If your hull at the install location is outside the 16° to 24° range, the beam angle will not be as vertical, which can affect depth performance at speed.
Installation and setup
Plan the mounting location where the transducer stays in clean, solid water flow across the speed range you run, and where you have access inside for the nut and sealing. The 60 mm (2-3/8 in) thru-hull hole size makes it a straightforward replacement when you are already set up for a B60-style housing.
Route the cable with gentle bends and keep it separated from high-current wiring where possible to reduce noise pickup. After installation, confirm the sounder is set up for 50/200 kHz operation and that both depth and temperature are reading normally at the dock before you button everything up.
On-water use
The 200 kHz channel uses a narrower 12° beam for more detail and tighter target separation, while 50 kHz uses a wider 45° beam for stronger performance in deeper water. Depth performance is rated to about 1,200 ft at 50 kHz and about 700 ft at 200 kHz, with real-world results depending on bottom type, installation quality, and sea state.
