Overview

The Hella Marine 007793041 is a 12V Mini ISO power relay with a single normally open circuit (SPST, Form A) rated for 50A continuous on the N/O contact at 85°C.

It is a practical way to run higher-current gear from a low-current switch or control output. The coil uses resistor suppression (680 ohm), which helps reduce coil kickback without forcing a polarity on the coil connections.

The relay has an IP54-rated housing, a black body, and an integrated mounting bracket, so it can be secured in a protected electrical area that sees vibration and occasional splash, but not direct washdown or standing water.

Key features
  • Nominal 12V coil with up to 18V max coil voltage; pick-up at 8.0V or less and drop-out at 1.3V or more
  • Coil resistance 100 ohm (plus or minus 10%), with resistor suppression for non-polarized coil wiring
  • 50A continuous switching capacity on the normally open contact, with inrush capability up to 200A (lamp) or 150A (motor)
  • Fast response with operating and releasing times up to 10 ms
  • 4-pin Mini ISO layout with standard relay terminal numbering (85/86 coil, 30 feed, 87 switched output)
  • Blade terminals sized 6.3 x 0.8 mm (85/86) and 9.5 x 1.2 mm (30/87), plus bracket mounting for a secure installation
Electrical and system integration

Terminal 30 is the high-current feed, terminal 87 is the switched output, and terminals 85 and 86 power the coil. Because the load tabs are larger (9.5 x 1.2 mm), confirm your relay socket or crimp terminals are the correct size and rated for the current you are running.

On a 12V boat, this relay is commonly used to let a dash switch, breaker panel switch, or electronic controller trigger a larger load such as deck and spreader lights, a horn, pumps, or other accessories. Protect the feed to terminal 30 with the right fuse or breaker for the wire and the load, and keep the high-current run short to reduce voltage drop.

Installation and placement on board

Use the mounting bracket to fasten the relay to a bulkhead, under-helm electrical panel, or inside an enclosure where it stays accessible for inspection. IP54 handles splash and dust, but it should still be kept out of bilges and away from areas that stay wet or get hit with a hose.

If the circuit has a heavy startup surge, confirm the load is within the relay’s inrush limits and that your wiring and connections stay cool under load.

Who it fits

This relay is a solid match for 12V systems that need straightforward on/off control of a single higher-current circuit from a small control signal, especially when you want a bracket-mounted Mini ISO relay rather than a loose plug-in cube.

Shipping
We ship worldwide from the United States. Rates are calculated at checkout based on destination and package weight. Some items include free shipping, which will show automatically. Not every product is eligible for international shipping; checkout will confirm eligibility. We do not ship to PO Boxes except through USPS, and not all packages qualify.

Processing and dispatch
Most orders are verified, packed, and handed to the carrier within 1 to 2 business days. Some products may need extra handling time or ship directly from the manufacturer. For certain international orders, inventory transfers between warehouses may add time. If any delay is expected, we will let you know the dispatch date.

Delivery and tracking
Deliveries are handled by trusted carriers such as USPS, UPS, FedEx, and DHL. Estimated arrival times appear at checkout and depend on your location and the service you choose. These are estimates and can be affected by customs or carrier disruptions. A shipping confirmation with a tracking link is emailed when your order ships, and tracking may take up to 24 hours to update. You can also view tracking in your account.

Duties, taxes, and support
International customers are responsible for any customs duties, taxes, and fees charged by the destination country. If these charges are refused and a shipment returns to us, the carrier’s return cost and any re-entry customs fees will be deducted from the refund. If your order is late or you need help, contact cs@qualityboatparts.com and we will assist you.

Quality Boat Parts is a reseller. Many items include a manufacturer’s warranty, and all warranty service is handled directly by the manufacturer. We do not manage or administer warranty claims on behalf of customers.

Warranty terms, coverage, and duration are set by each manufacturer. Issues involving defects, repairs, or replacements must be addressed with the manufacturer’s support team. When available, the warranty period is listed on the product page. If it is not shown, contact us or the manufacturer for details before purchasing.

To start a claim, the customer must contact the manufacturer and follow their process. Keep your proof of purchase and original packaging, and register the product if the manufacturer requires it, as these are often needed for warranty service.

We are happy to help you find the right contact or documentation, but we cannot decide outcomes or intervene in claim resolutions. For guidance, email cs@qualityboatparts.com.
