Overview
The Perko 1220DP0CHR is a flush lifting handle made from chrome plated zinc alloy for recessed access points on boats where a raised pull would get in the way. The face plate measures 3" x 2-1/4", the inside handle opening is 1-7/8" x 1", and it mounts with four #8 screws.
It fits well on locker lids, access panels, floorboards, and similar lift-out sections where you want a clean surface and a handle that sits flush when not in use. The chrome finish also makes sense where you are matching other plated hardware in the cockpit, cabin, or deck joinery.
Key features
- Flush lifting handle for recessed access on panels, lids, hatches, and floorboards
- Chrome plated zinc alloy construction with a polished finish that matches common marine hardware
- 3" x 2-1/4" face plate for compact mounting areas
- 1-7/8" x 1" inside handle opening for a practical handhold without adding a proud pull
- Uses four #8 screws for installation
Installation and fit
This handle is a practical fit where surface clearance matters, such as cockpit soles, berth tops, cabin steps, and small locker openings. Before cutting the opening, check the installation template and make sure there is enough space below the mounting surface for the handle to move freely.
When bedding the hardware, keep sealing compound out of the four pin connection holes so the handle can move as it should. That detail is worth paying attention to on boats that see regular washdowns or spray.
Use on board
This part gives you a recessed handhold for lifting access panels. It is not a latch or lock, so it suits installations where the panel is already held in place by its fit or by separate hardware.
It is a good match for anyone replacing an existing Perko 1220 handle or adding a simple flush pull where a low-profile opening point makes more sense than a raised grab handle.

Quality Boat Parts is a reseller. Many items include a manufacturer’s warranty, and all warranty service is handled directly by the manufacturer. We do not manage or administer warranty claims on behalf of customers.
Warranty terms, coverage, and duration are set by each manufacturer. Issues involving defects, repairs, or replacements must be addressed with the manufacturer’s support team. When available, the warranty period is listed on the product page. If it is not shown, contact us or the manufacturer for details before purchasing.
To start a claim, the customer must contact the manufacturer and follow their process. Keep your proof of purchase and original packaging, and register the product if the manufacturer requires it, as these are often needed for warranty service.
