Overview

It is built for installations where shore power, generator power, and battery power all need to work together without adding separate inverter and charger hardware.
This MultiPlus range covers both 12 V and 24 V house-bank systems. The 12 V versions use a 120 A charger, while the 24 V versions use a 70 A charger. In inverter mode, the unit supplies 120 VAC at 60 Hz, with 2400 W continuous output at 25°C and 6000 W peak power.
On board, it is useful for running AC loads from the battery bank, recharging batteries from shore power or a generator, and keeping selected AC circuits powered when the external AC source drops away. The 50 A transfer switch helps simplify dockside and generator integration, while PowerControl and PowerAssist help manage limited shore or generator capacity.

The main differences are DC system voltage, charger output, and UL approval status. Across these configurations, the product family keeps the 3000 VA inverter rating, 120 VAC output, 50 A transfer switch, true sine wave output, PowerControl, PowerAssist, and VE.Bus communication.
- PMP123021102: 120 A charger, 12 V DC battery system, UL Approved No. This configuration fits 12 V house-bank installations where higher charge current is needed from shore power or a generator.
- PMP243021102: 70 A charger, 24 V DC battery system, UL Approved No. This configuration fits 24 V house-bank installations where lower DC current is preferred for the same inverter class.
- PMP122301102: 120 A charger, 12 V DC battery system, UL Approved Yes. The UL approval is relevant for installations where listed equipment is required by the project, survey, or electrical plan.
- PMP242301102: 70 A charger, 24 V DC battery system, UL Approved Yes. This version pairs the 24 V battery-system format with UL-approved compliance for installations that require it.
Installation and setup
Plan the installation in a dry, ventilated electrical space with enough access for cable routing, service checks, and airflow. The unit should not be mounted in a wet or dusty location, which matters on boats where lockers, engine rooms, and lazarettes can see moisture, heat, and salt air.
Battery-bank sizing, DC fuse selection, and cable length all affect whether the unit can deliver its rated output. For full-capacity installations, the 12 V versions call for a 400 to 1200 Ah battery bank and a 400 A DC fuse, while the 24 V versions call for a 200 to 700 Ah battery bank and a 300 A DC fuse. Final wiring and protection should be matched to the vessel layout and applicable marine electrical standards.
Electrical and system integration
The AC input range is 95 to 140 VAC at 45 to 65 Hz, which suits 120 V shore power or generator input when the vessel is wired and configured correctly. The inverter output is 120 VAC with a frequency of 60 Hz, so it can support typical onboard AC circuits within the rated capacity of the selected installation.
The VE.Bus port is useful when the MultiPlus is part of a larger Victron power system. With compatible Victron interfaces and monitoring equipment, it can be configured, monitored, and integrated with battery monitors, GX devices, and other system controls.

Processing and dispatch
