Overview
The Lumitec 112501 is an Orbit flush-mount LED downlight with a brushed finish that switches between white and blue with dimming control built into the light. It runs on 10 to 30 VDC, pulls 300 mA at 12 VDC (160 mA at 24 VDC), and is sealed to an IP67 level for spray and washdowns.
White output is 5000K with a CRI of 70+ and up to 150 lumens, which is a good fit for general overhead lighting in cabins and covered exterior areas. The face is 1.99 in round with an overall depth of 0.72 in, so it works well where headliner space is tight.
This model is certified ignition protected, which is useful when lighting ends up in enclosed spaces where fuel vapors could be present.

Compatibility and fit
This light uses a 1.23 in cutout and a shallow mounting depth (about 7/16 in), which helps when you are working with thin headliners, hardtops, or overhead panels. If you are replacing older dome lights, double-check the hole size and make sure you have room for the 0.72 in body depth behind the surface.
Installation and wiring
Mounting is straightforward: fasten the mounting plate to the surface, connect the light to your DC supply, then seat the light and twist until it locks. The circuit is polarity sensitive, so confirm the positive and negative leads before powering up.
Control can be handled from a simple SPST toggle or rocker switch. Color changes and dimming are done by timed power cycling at the switch, so you do not need a separate control module or additional wire runs. For circuit protection, size the fuse or breaker for the load, and allow up to 580 mA at 12 VDC or 320 mA at 24 VDC per light when planning multi-light circuits.
Use cases on board
White mode works well for day-to-day tasks at the helm, in a galley, or in passageways, while blue is a common choice for keeping night vision and keeping glare down in a cockpit. It is a good match for boats that need a small, shallow downlight that can live in wet areas and still run cleanly on either 12V or 24V.

Quality Boat Parts is a reseller. Many items include a manufacturer’s warranty, and all warranty service is handled directly by the manufacturer. We do not manage or administer warranty claims on behalf of customers.
Warranty terms, coverage, and duration are set by each manufacturer. Issues involving defects, repairs, or replacements must be addressed with the manufacturer’s support team. When available, the warranty period is listed on the product page. If it is not shown, contact us or the manufacturer for details before purchasing.
To start a claim, the customer must contact the manufacturer and follow their process. Keep your proof of purchase and original packaging, and register the product if the manufacturer requires it, as these are often needed for warranty service.
