Overview

The Victron Energy MEGA-fuse 32V is a pack of five high-current DC fuses for protecting low-voltage electrical circuits on boats, vehicles, and off-grid power systems. It is part of Victron Energy’s MEGA fuse range and is used where higher current protection is needed around batteries, inverters, chargers, and DC distribution equipment.

Each fuse is rated for systems up to 32V DC, which makes the range suitable for many 12V and 24V marine battery installations when the selected amperage matches the circuit design. Available current ratings run from 60A to 500A, with approximate voltage drop values from 120 mV down to 70 mV depending on the fuse size.

On board, these fuses are most often used close to the power source to protect heavy DC cabling and connected equipment from short circuits and overloads. The correct rating should be selected to match the cable size, equipment requirements, and the fuse holder used in the installation.

Key features
  • MEGA fuse format for high-current DC circuit protection in marine electrical systems.
  • 32V DC rating supports low-voltage battery systems commonly found on 12V and 24V boats.
  • Current ratings across the range cover 60A, 80A, 100A, 125A, 150A, 175A, 200A, 225A, 250A, 300A, 400A, and 500A installations.
  • Approximate voltage drop is listed by rating, helping installers account for losses in high-current battery and inverter circuits.
  • Compatible with MEGA fuse holders, including single MEGA fuse holders and Victron modular MEGA fuse holder arrangements.
  • Supplied as a package of five fuses in the selected current rating, useful for service stock, refits, and multi-circuit DC distribution work.
Variants

This MEGA-fuse 32V range varies by current rating only. Each configuration uses the same MEGA fuse format and 32V DC voltage class, while the amperage changes to suit different cable sizes, equipment loads, and protection requirements.

The available range spans from 60A for smaller protected DC circuits up to 500A for very high-current battery and inverter feeds. The fuse rating should always be matched to the installed cable and the connected equipment, rather than chosen only by the maximum output of the device.

Installation and fit

Install the fuse in a correctly rated MEGA fuse holder, positioned as close as practical to the battery or DC source being protected. This keeps the unprotected cable length short and helps reduce risk if a cable is damaged or a downstream fault occurs.

Before fitting, confirm that the holder, terminals, cable lugs, and surrounding busbar layout are suitable for the selected current rating. High-current DC circuits on boats are sensitive to loose connections, so all contact surfaces should be clean and fasteners should be tightened to the hardware specification used in the installation.

Marine use and maintenance

These fuses are a practical match for battery banks, inverter feeds, charger circuits, DC distribution panels, and other heavy-load circuits found on cruising boats, fishing boats, and refit projects. They are especially useful where Victron Energy equipment is already part of the onboard DC system.

During routine electrical checks, inspect the fuse holder area for heat discoloration, corrosion, loose hardware, or signs of moisture exposure. Replace any fuse only with the same type and the correct amperage for the protected circuit after the cause of the fault has been found.

Shipping
We ship worldwide from the United States. Rates are calculated at checkout based on destination and package weight. Some items include free shipping, which will show automatically. Not every product is eligible for international shipping; checkout will confirm eligibility. We do not ship to PO Boxes except through USPS, and not all packages qualify.

Processing and dispatch
Most orders are verified, packed, and handed to the carrier within 1 to 2 business days. Some products may need extra handling time or ship directly from the manufacturer. For certain international orders, inventory transfers between warehouses may add time. If any delay is expected, we will let you know the dispatch date.

Delivery and tracking
Deliveries are handled by trusted carriers such as USPS, UPS, FedEx, and DHL. Estimated arrival times appear at checkout and depend on your location and the service you choose. These are estimates and can be affected by customs or carrier disruptions. A shipping confirmation with a tracking link is emailed when your order ships, and tracking may take up to 24 hours to update. You can also view tracking in your account.

Duties, taxes, and support
International customers are responsible for any customs duties, taxes, and fees charged by the destination country. If these charges are refused and a shipment returns to us, the carrier’s return cost and any re-entry customs fees will be deducted from the refund. If your order is late or you need help, contact cs@qualityboatparts.com and we will assist you.

Quality Boat Parts is a reseller. Many items include a manufacturer’s warranty, and all warranty service is handled directly by the manufacturer. We do not manage or administer warranty claims on behalf of customers.

Warranty terms, coverage, and duration are set by each manufacturer. Issues involving defects, repairs, or replacements must be addressed with the manufacturer’s support team. When available, the warranty period is listed on the product page. If it is not shown, contact us or the manufacturer for details before purchasing.

To start a claim, the customer must contact the manufacturer and follow their process. Keep your proof of purchase and original packaging, and register the product if the manufacturer requires it, as these are often needed for warranty service.

We are happy to help you find the right contact or documentation, but we cannot decide outcomes or intervene in claim resolutions. For guidance, email cs@qualityboatparts.com.
