Overview
The Vimar ARKÉ Series 1 Module Interchangeable Lightable Button is a 1-module rocker-style front button that completes a compatible Arké switch or push-button mechanism and gives you a clear control point on board.
It is lightable and includes a monitoring window/light outlet, so it can be illuminated when paired with a lightable mechanism or indicator. The face is 44.2 mm high by 22 mm wide with about 6.7 mm depth, and it is rated IP40 for use in protected interior panels.
On boats that already use Vimar Arké modules at the helm, nav station, cabin, or galley, this is a practical way to refresh a worn button, update the symbol, or match panel finishes without rewiring the circuit.
Key features
- 1-module interchangeable button for Vimar ARKÉ wiring devices, used as the external control element on a compatible switch or push-button mechanism
- Light outlet window supports illuminated operation when the paired mechanism uses an indicator lamp or LED
- IP40 protection for dry, sheltered mounting locations such as cabin switch panels and enclosed helm consoles
- Halogen-free thermoplastic body with a matt surface finish
- Approximate size 22 mm x 44.2 mm with 6.7 mm depth to match standard 1-module Arké layouts
Variants
This button is offered with different front finishes and symbol styles. Finish options include grey (similar RAL 7015), white (similar RAL 9016), and Metal in an aluminium tone (similar RAL 9007).
Symbol options include a plain version with no icon plus labeled versions such as bell, key, light, PRESS, and O/I. Some versions are listed as lightable without a printed symbol. The symbol is part of the button and is not intended to be swapped separately.
Compatibility and fit
It is sized for Vimar ARKÉ 1-module positions and is intended to be used with a matching Arké frame and cover plate. This is a control cover, not a complete electrical switch, so the electrical rating and circuit type depend on the mechanism installed behind it.
Because IP40 is a light-duty protection level, it belongs in areas protected from spray and washdowns. For open cockpits or exposed deck locations, use sealed switching equipment rather than an interior wall-type button.
Installation and setup
Isolate power to the circuit, remove the plate, and release the existing 1-module button from the mechanism. Fit the new button so the light outlet aligns with the indicator point on the mechanism, then reinstall the plate and verify the rocker travel is free and returns cleanly.
If you are using illumination, confirm the mechanism is the lightable type and that the indicator lamp or LED is installed and oriented correctly before closing the panel.
Use on board
This style of labeled, lightable button suits cabin lighting, courtesy lighting, service circuits, and call or bell functions where the marking needs to stay readable at night. It is a good match for refits where the boat already has Vimar Arké modules and panel consistency matters more than changing the underlying hardware.
Care and cleaning
Wipe with a soft cloth and mild soap solution. Avoid solvents and abrasive pads that can mark the matt surface and cloud the light window.

Quality Boat Parts is a reseller. Many items include a manufacturer’s warranty, and all warranty service is handled directly by the manufacturer. We do not manage or administer warranty claims on behalf of customers.
Warranty terms, coverage, and duration are set by each manufacturer. Issues involving defects, repairs, or replacements must be addressed with the manufacturer’s support team. When available, the warranty period is listed on the product page. If it is not shown, contact us or the manufacturer for details before purchasing.
To start a claim, the customer must contact the manufacturer and follow their process. Keep your proof of purchase and original packaging, and register the product if the manufacturer requires it, as these are often needed for warranty service.
We are happy to help you find the right contact or documentation, but we cannot decide outcomes or intervene in claim resolutions. For guidance, email cs@qualityboatparts.com.
