Overview
The Vimar 8000 Series is a range of 1-module snap-fixing cover plates for panel mounting, available in gold, bronze, black, ivory, and white finishes. Each version is made for flush-mounted installation, accepts one module in either horizontal or vertical orientation, and is supplied with a mounting frame.
For boat interiors, this style of cover plate gives a clean finish around a single switch or control point on a panel, console, or cabin joinery. The module insert mounts from the back, so the front stays tidy once installed, which helps when you are matching visible electrical trim across the helm, cabin, or service areas.
This is the panel-mount version in the 8000 range rather than the 60 mm round-box plate, so that distinction matters when replacing an existing trim piece or planning a new switch panel layout.
Key features
- 1-module cover plate for panel mounting within the Vimar 8000 range
- Flush-mounted format with horizontal or vertical installation
- Snap-fixing front plate for quick fitting and a clean outer face
- Mounting frame included in the supplied set
- Module insert mounts from the back of the plate
- Finish choice includes resin versions in ivory and white, plus anodized aluminium versions in black, bronze, and gold
Variants
This product is offered in several finish options within the same 1-module panel-mount format.
The finish and outer material vary by version. Gold, bronze, and black are anodized aluminium, while ivory and white are resin. Across the range, the shared format is a single-module, flush-mounted cover plate with snap fixing, horizontal or vertical orientation, and a supplied mounting frame.
- VM08951.A: Ivory finish in resin. This gives a softer off-white appearance that works well on interior panels where lighter trim is already in place.
- VM08951.N: Black finish in anodized aluminium. The darker face blends neatly into black helm panels and instrument surrounds.
- VM08951.Z: White finish in resin. This keeps the same mounting format with a brighter trim appearance for interior switch panels.
- VM08951.BR: Bronze finish in anodized aluminium. The warmer metallic tone changes the look of the panel without changing the mounting layout.
- VM08951: Gold finish in anodized aluminium. This version keeps the same single-module format with a more decorative metallic finish for visible interior trim areas.
Installation and fit
This cover plate is intended for flush-mounted panel installations and can be positioned horizontally or vertically around one standard module. Because it is supplied with the mounting frame and uses snap fixing, it suits both new panel builds and replacement work where the surrounding cutout and insert format already match the 8000 system.
On board, it makes the most sense in protected interior locations such as cabin switch panels, helm-side auxiliary panels, and utility spaces where the switch face needs a clean finished edge and a finish that matches the rest of the electrical trim.

Quality Boat Parts is a reseller. Many items include a manufacturer’s warranty, and all warranty service is handled directly by the manufacturer. We do not manage or administer warranty claims on behalf of customers.
Warranty terms, coverage, and duration are set by each manufacturer. Issues involving defects, repairs, or replacements must be addressed with the manufacturer’s support team. When available, the warranty period is listed on the product page. If it is not shown, contact us or the manufacturer for details before purchasing.
To start a claim, the customer must contact the manufacturer and follow their process. Keep your proof of purchase and original packaging, and register the product if the manufacturer requires it, as these are often needed for warranty service.
We are happy to help you find the right contact or documentation, but we cannot decide outcomes or intervene in claim resolutions. For guidance, email cs@qualityboatparts.com.
