Overview
The Simrad TB120 is a 120 mm (4.72 in) tiller bracket that sets the tiller-side mounting point for a Simrad tillerpilot installation.
On many tiller-steered boats, the cockpit socket and the tiller end do not line up at the height the pilot needs. This bracket gives you a 120 mm mounting height so the tillerpilot can be positioned closer to the installation geometry called for, with cleaner alignment through the pushrod travel.
Key features
- 120 mm (4.72 in) bracket height to adjust the tiller-side mounting point
- Mounting accessory used with Simrad Tillerpilots, including TP10, TP22, and TP32
- Useful when the tiller thickness, cockpit coaming height, or socket location prevents the standard setup from lining up
- Helps keep the tillerpilot positioned square to the tiller at mid-stroke, which reduces binding and uneven loads
- Simple hardware piece for cockpit mounting setups where the pilot needs to be removable between uses
Compatibility and fit
This bracket is for Simrad tillerpilot installations where the mounting point at the tiller end needs a 120 mm height. It is not an autopilot computer or a drive by itself, and it is used as part of the mechanical mounting arrangement on a tiller-steered boat.
Before drilling, dry-fit the pilot and confirm you have clearance for full tiller swing, full pushrod travel, and a spot where the pilot can be clipped on and off without snagging lines or the mainsheet.
Installation and setup
Plan the layout with the rudder centered and the tiller amidships. Aim for the pilot to sit level and to be at 90 degrees to the tiller at mid-stroke, then place the bracket so the tiller pin location lands where it needs to. Seal any new holes in the tiller, and use appropriate fasteners and backing support for your tiller material.
Use cases on board
This bracket is a practical add-on for small to mid-size tiller-steered sailboats where a Simrad tillerpilot is already in the plan but the cockpit socket height and the tiller height do not naturally match. It is especially common on boats with thicker tillers, raised seating surfaces, or limited flat mounting areas in the cockpit.
Rinse the bracket area after saltwater runs and re-check fasteners periodically, since tillerpilot mounts see repeated vibration and cycling loads.
Shipping
We ship worldwide from the United States. Rates are calculated at checkout based on destination and package weight. Some items include free shipping, which will show automatically. Not every product is eligible for international shipping; checkout will confirm eligibility. We do not ship to PO Boxes except through USPS, and not all packages qualify.

Quality Boat Parts is a reseller. Many items include a manufacturer’s warranty, and all warranty service is handled directly by the manufacturer. We do not manage or administer warranty claims on behalf of customers.
Warranty terms, coverage, and duration are set by each manufacturer. Issues involving defects, repairs, or replacements must be addressed with the manufacturer’s support team. To start a claim, the customer must contact the manufacturer and follow their process. Keep your proof of purchase and original packaging, and register the product if the manufacturer requires it, as these are often needed for warranty service.
