Overview
The TACO Marine RK-0003PB is a Premium Triple Braid Rigging Kit for setting up a pair of 18' aluminum or carbon fiber outriggers with braided halyard line. It gives offshore anglers the hardware needed to run up to six lines, with three baits from each outrigger pole, so the spread can cover more water while keeping the cockpit rigging organized.
The kit centers around 1/8" thick, 300' black Dacron rigging cord, paired with Ronstan triple roller pulley shock cords with stainless-steel snap hooks. Adjustable tension release clips, 1-3/4" outrigger line stops, stainless-steel eye straps, crimps, swivels, and snap swivels are included so the rig can be set up without piecing together small components one by one.
This is a practical choice for center consoles, sportfish boats, and offshore trolling setups where outrigger lines need to run smoothly, release cleanly, and hold up to regular use around salt spray, sun, and deck washdowns.
Key features
- Made for 18' aluminum or carbon fiber outrigger poles.
- Supports triple rigging on each outrigger, allowing up to six trolling lines across a wide spread.
- Includes 1/8" thick, 300' black Dacron rigging cord for braided outrigger halyard setup.
- Ronstan triple roller pulley shock cords help the halyard run cleanly while the stainless-steel snap hooks give a secure connection point.
- Adjustable tension release clips let the release setting be tuned to the bait, lure, sea state, and trolling style.
- 1-3/4" outrigger line stops help manage line position and keep the rigging layout consistent.
- Stainless-steel eye straps and screws are included for mounting the rigging hardware on board.
- Coastlock-style swivels and snap swivels help reduce twist and make line connections faster during setup or rerigging.
- Quick-dry mesh bag keeps the kit together between trips and lets wet components drain after use.
- Covered by a 1-year limited warranty.
Installation and setup
This kit is meant for anglers who want a complete braided outrigger rigging package rather than sourcing clips, stops, crimps, pulleys, and swivels separately. It is suited to external outrigger rigging where the line, release clips, and stops are visible and easy to inspect before a run offshore.
Before installation, confirm that the outrigger poles are 18' and that the mounting layout has suitable attachment points for the eye straps and pulley shock cords. The rigging should be routed so the halyard moves freely without rubbing hard edges, rod tips, antenna mounts, canvas frames, or tower hardware.
Use cases on board
The triple setup is useful for offshore trolling spreads where multiple baits or lures need to be separated cleanly from the wake. It fits well on boats targeting species such as sailfish, tuna, mahi, wahoo, and other pelagic fish where bait spacing and clean line release matter.
For crews that fish often, the included mesh bag also makes sense at the end of the day. Small rigging parts can be rinsed, dried, and stored together instead of being left loose in a tackle drawer or console compartment.
Maintenance and care
After fishing in saltwater, rinse the cord, clips, swivels, snap hooks, pulleys, and mounting hardware with fresh water. Let the kit dry before storage, especially the Dacron line and any metal fittings, to help reduce salt buildup and keep moving parts working smoothly.
Inspect the Dacron cord, crimps, clips, and snap connections before each trip. Replace worn or damaged rigging parts before running offshore, since outrigger lines see constant load changes from waves, turns, strikes, and repeated bait resets.

Warranty terms, coverage, and duration are set by each manufacturer. Issues involving defects, repairs, or replacements must be addressed with the manufacturer’s support team.
