Overview
The Simrad 000-14552-001 is an Ethernet adapter cable that connects a Halo20 radar dome’s RJ45 digital radar cable to a 5-pin Navico Ethernet port. It is 1.5 m long, which is handy when you need a little extra reach between a radar cable run and the display or network connection point.
One end uses a 5-pin Navico Ethernet male connector, and the other end is an RJ45 female gland connection with a sealing boot. When the RJ45 plug is seated and the gland is tightened, the RJ45 side is sealed up for use in the damp, vibration-heavy spots where radar cabling often lands, like inside a T-top, mast base, electronics box, or console.
Key features
- Converts RJ45 on the Halo20 radar cable to a 5-pin Navico Ethernet connection
- Navico Ethernet male connector on one end, RJ45 female gland connection on the other
- 1.5 m (4.9 ft) cable length for flexible routing between cable runs and network gear
- Sealing gland and boot make the RJ45 socket watertight once tightened
- Connectors that hold up to vibration and typical on-board movement
- Data cable only for Ethernet networking, not a power lead and not an NMEA 2000 cable
What’s included
- RJ45 to 5-pin Navico Ethernet adapter cable (1.5 m)
- Waterproof boot seal for the RJ45 gland connection
Compatibility and fit
This adapter is intended for Halo20 radar domes where the radar’s cable terminates in an RJ45 plug and the receiving device uses a 5-pin Navico Ethernet port. Before ordering, confirm the port type on your display or networking hardware, since some systems use standard RJ45 Ethernet instead of the 5-pin Navico connector.
Installation and setup
Connect the 5-pin end to the Navico Ethernet port on your display or network connection point. Plug the RJ45 from the radar cable into the gland end, then tighten the gland and seat the boot so the RJ45 side stays sealed.
On the boat, it helps to mount or secure the connection in a protected location, leave a small drip loop where practical, and support the cable so it is not hanging from the connectors. Keep the run clear of sharp edges and high-heat areas, and avoid tight bends at the connector ends.
Use cases on board
This cable is a good match for refits where a Halo20 radar is being added to an existing Navico Ethernet setup that uses the 5-pin connector at the display or network entry point. It also makes sense when you want the RJ45 transition sealed up inside the console or electronics box instead of leaving an unprotected RJ45 coupler in a wet area.
Shipping
We ship worldwide from the United States. Rates are calculated at checkout based on destination and package weight. Some items include free shipping, which will show automatically. Not every product is eligible for international shipping; checkout will confirm eligibility. We do not ship to PO Boxes except through USPS, and not all packages qualify.

International customers are responsible for any customs duties, taxes, and fees charged by the destination country. If these charges are refused and a shipment returns to us, the carrier’s return cost and any re-entry customs fees will be deducted from the refund. Quality Boat Parts is a reseller. Many items include a manufacturer’s warranty, and all warranty service is handled directly by the manufacturer. We do not manage or administer warranty claims on behalf of customers.
Warranty terms, coverage, and duration are set by each manufacturer. Issues involving defects, repairs, or replacements must be addressed with the manufacturer’s support team. When available, the warranty period is listed on the product page. If it is not shown, contact us or the manufacturer for details before purchasing.
To start a claim, the customer must contact the manufacturer and follow their process. Keep your proof of purchase and original packaging, and register the product if the manufacturer requires it, as these are often needed for warranty service.
