Overview
The Simrad NSS evo3 is a chartplotter and fishfinder multifunction display that combines GPS navigation, built-in sonar, and Insight charts at the helm. It runs on 10 to 31.2 V DC for 12V and 24V systems, and it carries an IPX6 and IPX7 waterproof rating for open-helm use and routine washdowns.
Control is split between a multi-touch screen and a keypad with a rotary dial, which helps when the boat is bouncing or your hands are wet. The SolarMAX IPS display is built for sunlight viewing and wide angles, including viewing through polarized sunglasses.
For networked boats, NSS evo3 ties into common onboard electronics so the display can sit at the center of a navigation and fishing setup, with built-in wireless connectivity and an HDMI output for mirroring to another screen.

The main difference between these options is the screen size and the physical footprint at the helm; power input range (10 to 31.2 V DC), waterproof rating (IPX6 and IPX7), and core connectivity are consistent across the range.
- 000-13233-001: Screen size 7-inch. Fits well on smaller helms and tighter dash layouts while still leaving room for split chart and sonar views.
- 000-13234-001: Screen size 9-inch. Adds more viewing area for side-by-side pages when you want charting and sonar up at the same time.
- 000-13235-001: Screen size 12-inch. Provides more space for multi-panel layouts, which helps when running radar, charting, and sonar together.
- 000-13236-001: Screen size 16-inch. Uses a Full HD 1920 x 1080 display for a glass-helm style setup where the screen is your primary information center.
Installation and mounting
NSS evo3 supports bracket mounting or panel mounting, so it can be set on a gimbal at the helm or installed flush into a dash. Plan for cable clearance behind the display, keep connectors out of standing water, and route wiring with drip loops so spray and rain do not track down the harness.
Power the unit from a clean 12V or 24V supply within the 10 to 31.2 V DC range, using the correct fuse rating for the specific screen size and a properly sized marine circuit. If the helm sees frequent washdowns, a protective cover when the boat is unattended helps keep the display face cleaner and reduces salt buildup.
Network and sonar integration
On boats with a backbone network, NMEA 2000 connectivity lets you bring key vessel data onto the screen and share navigation information with compatible devices. For more advanced multi-display helms, Ethernet networking is used for expanding the system with additional electronics and sharing data between displays.
For fishing setups, the built-in sounder capabilities are meant to be paired with compatible transducers and, when needed, external sonar modules. That flexibility matters if you want to mix traditional CHIRP views with ForwardScan or StructureScan style imaging on the same display.

Duties, taxes, and support
International customers are responsible for any customs duties, taxes, and fees charged by the destination country. If these charges are refused and a shipment returns to us, the carrier’s return cost and any re-entry customs fees will be deducted from the refund.
