Overview
The Raymarine A80630 is a bulkhead-mount Micro USB socket with a 1 m captive cable for connecting a compatible DJI drone controller to the accessory port on a Raymarine Axiom multifunction display. It brings the drone controller connection to an accessible panel location, so the MFD connection can remain behind the helm, dash, or electronics panel.
The socket side uses a Micro USB A female port for the drone controller cable, while the captive cable connects to the rear accessory port on the Axiom MFD. With the lid closed, the unit is rated IPx6 and IPx7, and it has an operating temperature range of -25 ºC to +55 ºC.
This is a purpose-specific drone controller connection point, not a general USB accessory socket. It is meant for supported DJI UAV controllers used with compatible Raymarine LightHouse multifunction displays.
Key features
- Bulkhead-mount Micro USB port extender for compatible Raymarine Axiom, Axiom+, Axiom Pro, and Axiom XL LightHouse MFDs.
- 1 m (3.28 ft) captive USB cable connects to the rear accessory port on the Axiom MFD.
- Micro USB A female port accepts a compatible DJI drone controller connection through the controller Micro USB cable, which is not included.
- IPx6 and IPx7 rating when the lid is closed for protection at exposed helm and console locations.
- Supported DJI UAV models include Mavic Pro, Mavic Pro Platinum, Mavic 2 Pro, and Mavic 2 Zoom.
- Requires a 29 mm (1.14 in) diameter panel cut-out for installation.
- Rated for 5 V dc power with peak current of 0.25 A.
Installation and fit
The socket can be surface mounted or flush mounted in a reachable location such as a helm panel, console face, or electronics dash area. Before cutting the panel, the 1 m cable length should be checked against the route to the Axiom MFD accessory port, with clearance left behind the panel for the connector and cable bend.
The mounting location should be protected from physical damage and vibration, and the cable should be secured along its run to avoid stress at the connector. The unit should not be installed in hazardous or flammable areas such as an engine room or near fuel tanks.
Compatibility and use on board
This socket is for boats using compatible Raymarine Axiom-family multifunction displays with the Raymarine UAV app and a supported DJI drone controller. It suits helm installations where drone control is part of fishing, cruising, inspection, or video work and the operator needs a cleaner connection point than reaching behind the display.
The port is not for charging phones, reading USB drives, or connecting generic USB devices. The lid should remain closed when the port is not in use, since the waterproof rating applies only with the lid closed.
What’s included
- DJI Drone Extension Cable with Micro USB port extender and 1 m (3.28 ft) captive Micro USB cable.
- Foam gasket.
- Lock ring.

International customers are responsible for any customs duties, taxes, and fees charged by the destination country. Quality Boat Parts is a reseller. Many items include a manufacturer’s warranty, and all warranty service is handled directly by the manufacturer. We do not manage or administer warranty claims on behalf of customers.
Warranty terms, coverage, and duration are set by each manufacturer. Issues involving defects, repairs, or replacements must be addressed with the manufacturer’s support team. When available, the warranty period is listed on the product page. If it is not shown, contact us or the manufacturer for details before purchasing.
To start a claim, the customer must contact the manufacturer and follow their process. Keep your proof of purchase and original packaging, and register the product if the manufacturer requires it, as these are often needed for warranty service.
We are happy to help you find the right contact or documentation, but we cannot decide outcomes or intervene in claim resolutions. For guidance, email cs@qualityboatparts.com.
