Overview

The Simrad 000-13293-001 is a speed and depth instrument pack that combines an IS42 4.1-inch color display with a DST800 thru-hull depth, speed, and water-temperature sensor, plus a NMEA 2000 backbone starter kit to tie it together.

The IS42 connects on NMEA 2000 with a single Micro-C cable for both power and data, and it runs on 12 V DC systems (10 to 16 V). The display is IPX7-rated for exposed helms, and the optically bonded screen helps keep the view clear in sun and avoids internal fogging.

The DST800 sensor is a retractable 235 kHz multisensor in a plastic thru-hull housing that installs in a 51 mm (2-inch) hole. Over NMEA 2000 it reports depth up to 100 m (330 ft), boat speed, and temperature, so the core underway numbers can be shown on the IS42 and shared with other NMEA 2000 devices on the network.

Key features
  • IS42 4.1-inch color display with 320 x 240 resolution and selectable day and night backlighting
  • Optically bonded, transflective screen for strong daylight readability and reduced chance of internal condensation
  • IPX7 waterproof rating for open helms and routine washdowns
  • NMEA 2000 Micro-C connection for power and data; network load 3 LEN, max power consumption 1.8 W, recommended 5 A fuse
  • DST800 235 kHz thru-hull sensor outputs depth, speed, and temperature on NMEA 2000; depth up to 100 m (330 ft) on NMEA 2000
  • Single 51 mm (2-inch) thru-hull hole for the sensor, with a retractable insert that supports routine cleaning
  • NMEA 2000 backbone starter components included to build a small network and expand later with additional backbone and T-connectors
  • Supports displaying autopilot status and integration with Simrad autopilot systems when paired with a compatible autopilot computer; OP12 keypad adds full autopilot control
What’s included
  • IS42 display
  • Screw jig
  • Mounting template
  • Sun cover
  • Fasteners
  • DST800 active depth, speed, and temperature thru-hull plastic 235 kHz transducer
  • NMEA 2000 Micro-C network starter kit
  • Network power cable
  • 4.5 m (15 ft) NMEA 2000 cable
  • Three T-connectors
  • Two network terminators
Installation and setup

Plan this as a small NMEA 2000 network install: mount the IS42 at the helm, install the DST800 through-hull where it stays in clean water flow and remains submerged underway, then build the backbone with the included T-connectors and terminators. The network needs power at one point on the backbone, and every device connects at a T with a drop cable.

For the thru-hull, confirm you have safe access on the inside of the hull for the nut and cable routing, and allow space to remove the retractable insert for cleaning. Use standard thru-hull bedding and sealing practices appropriate for your hull material and operating area.

Compatibility and on-board use

This pack is built around NMEA 2000, so it fits best on boats that already use NMEA 2000 or want a simple starting point for it. Once connected, the IS42 can be configured to show depth, speed, and temperature from the DST800, and it can also display other NMEA 2000 data such as wind, engine information, and autopilot status when those sources are present on the network.

It is a good match for small to mid-size powerboats and sailboats that want a dedicated, easy-to-read instrument at the helm for core underway numbers, either as a standalone display or alongside a Simrad MFD.

Shipping
We ship worldwide from the United States. Rates are calculated at checkout based on destination and package weight. Some items include free shipping, which will show automatically. Not every product is eligible for international shipping; checkout will confirm eligibility. We do not ship to PO Boxes except through USPS, and not all packages qualify.

Processing and dispatch
Most orders are verified, packed, and handed to the carrier within 1 to 2 business days. Some products may need extra handling time or ship directly from the manufacturer. For certain international orders, inventory transfers between warehouses may add time. If any delay is expected, we will let you know the dispatch date.

Delivery and tracking
Deliveries are handled by trusted carriers such as USPS, UPS, FedEx, and DHL. Estimated arrival times appear at checkout and depend on your location and the service you choose. These are estimates and can be affected by customs or carrier disruptions. A shipping confirmation with a tracking link is emailed when your order ships, and tracking may take up to 24 hours to update. You can also view tracking in your account.

Duties, taxes, and support
International customers are responsible for any customs duties, taxes, and fees charged by the destination country. If these charges are refused and a shipment returns to us, the carrier’s return cost and any re-entry customs fees will be deducted from the refund. If your order is late or you need help, contact cs@qualityboatparts.com and we will assist you.

Quality Boat Parts is a reseller. Many items include a manufacturer’s warranty, and all warranty service is handled directly by the manufacturer. We do not manage or administer warranty claims on behalf of customers.

Warranty terms, coverage, and duration are set by each manufacturer. Issues involving defects, repairs, or replacements must be addressed with the manufacturer’s support team. When available, the warranty period is listed on the product page. If it is not shown, contact us or the manufacturer for details before purchasing.

To start a claim, the customer must contact the manufacturer and follow their process. Keep your proof of purchase and original packaging, and register the product if the manufacturer requires it, as these are often needed for warranty service.

We are happy to help you find the right contact or documentation, but we cannot decide outcomes or intervene in claim resolutions. For guidance, email cs@qualityboatparts.com.
