Overview

The TACO Marine T10-4000-12 is a ShadeFin Mini side wall mount with backing plate for installing a ShadeFin Mini shade on consoles, side walls, gunnel walls, or deck railings. It gives the shade system a fixed mounting point where a standard deck mount is not the right fit, which is useful on boats with limited deck space or with vertical surfaces that are better positioned for shade coverage.

The mount uses aluminum-grade 6061 alloys with Type 304 stainless steel components, and it has a powder-coated misty silver finish. An injection-molded nylon cap is included to cover the mount when the shade is not installed, helping keep the installation neat at the helm, along a gunwale, or near a seating area.

The included backing plate matters on thin panels or surfaces that need load spread behind the mount. Before drilling, check that the chosen location has enough clearance behind the panel for the backing plate and fasteners, and confirm that the shade will swing or position without interfering with steering, seating, rod holders, electronics, or walking space.

This mount is a practical match for smaller fishing boats, skiffs, bay boats, pontoons, and cockpit areas where shade is needed but permanent canvas or a large top is not part of the setup.
