Overview
The Simrad 000-10628-001 is a SIMKIT-3 Micro-C to SimNet connection kit for tying a SimNet instrument network into a NMEA 2000 backbone that uses Micro-C connectors. It comes with a 1.0 m (3.2 ft) Micro-C (female) to SimNet lead, a 2 m (6.6 ft) SimNet cable, and a 2 m (6.6 ft) SimNet power cable with an integrated terminator.
This kit is commonly used during refits when the boat has SimNet cabling behind the dash but new sensors, displays, or backbone parts are Micro-C. Once connected, the SimNet segment and the Micro-C backbone can share the same NMEA 2000 data so typical instrument and navigation PGNs can move across the network as expected.

Compatibility and fit
This kit is meant for boats that already have SimNet devices and want to connect that SimNet cabling into a NMEA 2000 backbone that uses Micro-C connectors. Because the Micro-C end of the adapter lead is female, it is worth checking what connector gender you have available at the tie-in point to avoid surprises when routing cables behind the helm.
Installation and setup
Plan the SimNet side like a short backbone: place the Multi-Joiner where it stays accessible, run the SimNet cable where it will not chafe, and keep connectors in a dry location behind the dash or inside a console. Use the two terminators so the SimNet segment is terminated at both ends, then connect the Micro-C to SimNet lead where the SimNet segment meets your Micro-C backbone.
On most boats, failures come from connector strain and damp storage rather than the cable itself. Leave a small service loop, support the cable near the joiner, and keep the joiner and plugs out of low spots that collect water.
Use cases on board
This kit makes sense when you are updating an older Simrad SimNet install and want to add or reorganize a Micro-C NMEA 2000 backbone without pulling every SimNet run out of the boat. It also works well when a boat already has a Micro-C backbone and you need a SimNet branch for legacy SimNet equipment.

Duties, taxes, and support
International customers are responsible for any customs duties, taxes, and fees charged by the destination country. If these charges are refused and a shipment returns to us, the carrier’s return cost and any re-entry customs fees will be deducted from the refund.
