Overview
The Garmin BlueChart g3 is an electronic chart for the Scotland, West Coast coverage area, built for compatible Garmin chartplotters and networked Garmin displays. It covers the Scottish west coast from the Isle of Lewis and Loch Bervie down to Campbeltown Harbour and Girvan, including areas around Glasgow, Ayr, Skye, Arran, and nearby waters.
On the water, it gives you detailed navigation charting with depth contours plus tide and current information. Auto Guidance can calculate a suggested route using settings such as your desired depth and overhead clearance, but it still needs to be reviewed and adjusted for real conditions before you rely on it underway.
Key features
- Scotland, West Coast chart coverage with detail from the Outer Hebrides down through the Clyde approaches and surrounding islands
- Integrated Garmin and Navionics chart data with depth contours, tides, currents, and standard marine navigation symbols
- Auto Guidance route suggestions based on user-entered depth and overhead clearance settings
- Depth Range Shading for up to 10 depth ranges and Shallow Water Shading at a user-defined depth on supported devices and areas
- Detailed contour mapping up to 1-foot (30 cm) contours where available for better bottom-structure awareness
- BlueChart g3 Vision variants add extra presentation layers such as satellite imagery overlay, aerial photos for many ports and harbors, and 3D views (MarinerEye and FishEye) where supported
- Offered as a preprogrammed microSD/SD card or as a download installed with Garmin Express, depending on the variant
Variants
This chart is offered in multiple configurations so you can match your chartplotter setup and the mapping tier you prefer.
Options vary by chart version (BlueChart g3 or BlueChart g3 Vision) and by delivery format (preprogrammed microSD/SD card or download). All variants are for the Scotland, West Coast coverage area.
- 010-C0765-00: BlueChart g3 Vision, SD Card. This version adds the premium 3D and imagery layers where they are available, while keeping the chart data on the inserted card.
- 010-D0436-00: BlueChart g3 Vision, Download. The same premium chart tier delivered through Garmin Express for installation to a microSD/SD card for use in the registered unit.
- 010-C0765-20: BlueChart g3, SD Card. This is the standard chart tier focused on navigation detail such as depths, tides, and currents, delivered on a preprogrammed card.
- 010-D0351-00: BlueChart g3, Download. The standard chart tier delivered through Garmin Express for installation to a microSD/SD card for use in the registered unit.
Compatibility and fit
This is BlueChart g3 and BlueChart g3 Vision cartography, so your display needs to support that chart format. Compatibility varies by model and by software version, and feature support can differ between chartplotters, sounders, and other Garmin marine devices.
Download versions require Garmin Express, and the download format is non-refundable. Downloadable charts are unlocked to a specific device, so they must be installed and used with the unit they are registered to.
If you run a Garmin marine network, a single mapping card can supply chart data to other compatible displays on the network when it is installed in the correct chartplotter.
Installation and setup
For the SD Card versions, insert the preprogrammed microSD/SD card into the chartplotter card slot and keep it installed while you want that chart coverage available.
For download versions, Garmin Express installs the chart to a microSD/SD card for use in a registered chartplotter. Plan on dedicating a card to this chart, since only one chart can be installed to a single microSD/SD card.
Use cases on board
This chart is a good fit for skippers who cruise, fish, or make passages along Scotland’s west coast and want local port approaches, depth information, and tide and current data on a Garmin plotter. The g3 Vision variants can be especially helpful when you prefer photo and 3D perspectives while entering unfamiliar harbors, alongside the standard chart view.
Care and handling
Keep the card clean and dry when swapping between units, and avoid leaving it exposed where it can collect salt spray. If you store spare cards onboard, a small sealed case helps prevent corrosion on the contacts.

We ship worldwide from the United States. Rates are calculated at checkout based on destination and package weight. Some items include free shipping, which will show automatically. Not every product is eligible for international shipping; checkout will confirm eligibility. We do not ship to PO Boxes except through USPS, and not all packages qualify.
Processing and dispatch
Most orders are verified, packed, and handed to the carrier within 1 to 2 business days. Some products may need extra handling time or ship directly from the manufacturer. For certain international orders, inventory transfers between warehouses may add time. If any delay is expected, we will let you know the dispatch date.

Duties, taxes, and support
International customers are responsible for any customs duties, taxes, and fees charged by the destination country. If these charges are refused and a shipment returns to us, the carrier’s return cost and any re-entry customs fees will be deducted from the refund. Quality Boat Parts is a reseller. Many items include a manufacturer’s warranty, and all warranty service is handled directly by the manufacturer. We do not manage or administer warranty claims on behalf of customers.
Warranty terms, coverage, and duration are set by each manufacturer. Issues involving defects, repairs, or replacements must be addressed with the manufacturer’s support team. When available, the warranty period is listed on the product page. If it is not shown, contact us or the manufacturer for details before purchasing.
To start a claim, the customer must contact the manufacturer and follow their process. Keep your proof of purchase and original packaging, and register the product if the manufacturer requires it, as these are often needed for warranty service.
