Overview
The Garmin 010-12530-25 is a universal suction cup mount for compatible Garmin Dash Cam units, letting you place the camera on an interior windshield or window and remove it without adhesive. The suction cup uses a pull tab with a locking lever and measures about 3 in tall x 1-7/8 in wide x 7/8 in deep, which helps when you are working around tight helm sightlines. It also includes interchangeable ball adapters (8.5 mm straight, 8.5 mm angled, and 11 mm straight) so the mount interface can match different Garmin dash cam models.
On a boat, this style of mount is useful in an enclosed helm or cabin where you want a forward-facing camera view for docking practice, logging a run, or documenting an incident. Since the mount sits on the inside of the glass, it stays out of spray and avoids drilling into your windshield frame.
This is a mounting accessory only. Power and recording functions are handled by the dash cam and its cabling, so fit comes down to having a compatible Garmin camera and a smooth interior glass surface where the suction cup can seal.
Key features
- Reusable suction cup for inside-glass mounting with a pull tab and locking lever for quick install and removal
- Approximate mount size: 3 in tall x 1-7/8 in wide x 7/8 in deep for planning clearance and placement
- Interchangeable ball adapters included: 8.5 mm straight, 8.5 mm angled, and 11 mm straight
- Compatible with many Garmin Dash Cam models, plus Garmin Catalyst and Garmin Speak and Speak Plus
- Plastic construction in black, intended for interior mounting where it stays protected from weather and washdowns
Compatibility and fit
Compatible devices include Garmin Dash Cam 45, 46, 47, 55, 56, 57, 65W, 66W, 67W, Live, Mini, Mini 2, Mini 3, Tandem, X110, X210, and X310. It also fits Garmin Catalyst Driving Performance Optimizer and Garmin Speak and Speak Plus.
Suction mounts hold best on smooth, clean, non-porous surfaces. They may not seal well on textured panels, heavily curved areas, or surfaces with coatings that prevent a tight vacuum seal, so placement on flat, clean interior glass usually works best.
Installation and setup
Clean the inside of the glass where you plan to mount, then press the suction cup firmly to the surface and set the locking lever. Pick the ball adapter that matches your dash cam interface, set the viewing angle, and snug the hardware with the included hex wrench.
For helm installs, choose a spot that does not block your sightlines and still allows access to the dash cam buttons and power lead. Leave enough slack in the cable for vibration and steering movement, and route the cable so it does not chafe on sharp trim edges.
What’s included
- Removable suction cup mount with pull tab and locking lever

- 8.5 mm angled ball adapter
- 11 mm straight ball adapter
- 2.0 mm hex wrench
- 2 spare hex screws
Maintenance and care
Keep the suction cup face clean and free of dust or oils, since buildup can cause the seal to creep over time. If the mount is handled with wet or salty hands during a day on the water, wipe the cup and the glass before re-mounting for the best hold.
It is worth giving the mount a quick check after trailering, rough water, or big temperature swings, then re-seat it if you notice any movement.

Quality Boat Parts is a reseller. Many items include a manufacturer’s warranty, and all warranty service is handled directly by the manufacturer. We do not manage or administer warranty claims on behalf of customers.
Warranty terms, coverage, and duration are set by each manufacturer. Issues involving defects, repairs, or replacements must be addressed with the manufacturer’s support team. When available, the warranty period is listed on the product page. If it is not shown, contact us or the manufacturer for details before purchasing.
To start a claim, the customer must contact the manufacturer and follow their process. Keep your proof of purchase and original packaging, and register the product if the manufacturer requires it, as these are often needed for warranty service.
We are happy to help you find the right contact or documentation, but we cannot decide outcomes or intervene in claim resolutions. For guidance, email cs@qualityboatparts.com.
