Overview
The Hella Marine 006807801 is a 7-pin waterproof plug and socket connection for extra-low voltage wiring on boats, giving you a clean disconnect point where equipment needs to be removable or a harness needs to pass through a panel. The connector is IP67-rated and uses a surface-mount socket with a threaded coupling so the plug stays locked in place when the boat is vibrating or taking spray.
This 7-pin version uses solder terminals and is typically paired with about 0.75 mm² conductors. It is rated up to 10A at 12V or 5A at 24V, which suits lighting, small accessory circuits, and multi-wire control runs rather than high-draw loads.
The housing is impact-resistant plastic with silver-plated contacts, and the socket includes a protective cap to keep the connection covered when unplugged.
Key features
- 7-pole plug and socket connector with threaded coupling to help prevent accidental unplugging
- IP67 sealing for spray, washdowns, and brief submersion
- Surface-mount socket includes a protective cap to cover the contacts when disconnected
- Impact-resistant plastic housing with silver-plated contacts
- 7-pin version uses solder terminals for secure wire attachment
- Designed for cable jackets up to 8.0 mm diameter
- Maximum load up to 10A at 12V or 5A at 24V in extra-low voltage systems
Installation and setup
Mount the socket on a flat area with enough clearance behind the panel for wiring and strain relief. Use a proper marine sealant at the mounting surface if the location sees washdowns, then solder each conductor to the correct terminal and seal the connections with heat shrink where appropriate. Leave enough service loop so the plug can be connected and disconnected without pulling on the soldered joints.
Once connected, the threaded coupling keeps the plug seated, which is helpful on center consoles, cockpit panels, transoms, and other areas that see vibration.
Compatibility and fit
This connector is meant for multi-circuit DC connections in extra-low voltage systems, not for shore power, inverters, or other AC wiring. Confirm you have seven conductors to carry, your cable jacket is within the 8.0 mm limit, and the circuit current stays within the 12V or 24V load rating.
Use cases on board
This style of connector makes sense for removable deck or cockpit accessories, transom-mounted add-ons, or any install where you want to unplug a harness without opening junction boxes. It is a good match for boats that need a tidy, weatherproof disconnect for small accessory circuits that still have to survive salt spray and routine washdowns.
Maintenance and care
Keep the cap on the socket whenever the plug is not connected. If the connector lives in an exposed area, a light wipe-down and an occasional check for salt buildup around the sealing surfaces helps the threads turn smoothly and keeps the connection easy to service.
Shipping
We ship worldwide from the United States. Rates are calculated at checkout based on destination and package weight. Some items include free shipping, which will show automatically. Not every product is eligible for international shipping; checkout will confirm eligibility. We do not ship to PO Boxes except through USPS, and not all packages qualify.

Quality Boat Parts is a reseller. Many items include a manufacturer’s warranty, and all warranty service is handled directly by the manufacturer. We do not manage or administer warranty claims on behalf of customers.
Warranty terms, coverage, and duration are set by each manufacturer. Issues involving defects, repairs, or replacements must be addressed with the manufacturer’s support team. When available, the warranty period is listed on the product page. If it is not shown, contact us or the manufacturer for details before purchasing.
To start a claim, the customer must contact the manufacturer and follow their process. Keep your proof of purchase and original packaging, and register the product if the manufacturer requires it, as these are often needed for warranty service.
