Overview

The Victron Energy BPP900450100 is a Cerbo GX communications center for monitoring and controlling a Victron-based electrical system from one central interface. It runs the GX platform used to bring inverter/chargers, solar chargers, DC-DC chargers, battery monitors, managed batteries, tanks, temperatures, and relay functions into one system view.

It accepts 8 to 70V DC power, which makes it suitable for common 12V, 24V, and 48V onboard DC systems when installed correctly. Connection options include 3 VE.Direct ports, 2 paralleled VE.Bus RJ45 sockets, 1 non-isolated VE.Can port, 1 BMS-Can port, Ethernet, 2 USB host ports, 1 USB power-only port, WiFi, Bluetooth, HDMI, 4 resistive tank level inputs, 4 temperature sense inputs, 4 digital inputs, and 2 programmable NO/NC relays.

On a cruising boat, fishing vessel, or sailboat with a Victron power system, this unit helps bring the electrical picture together: battery state, solar harvest, shore power, generator status, tank levels, temperatures, alarms, and system settings can be viewed locally or remotely through compatible Victron interfaces. The Cerbo GX itself is IP20 rated, so it belongs in a dry, protected electrical locker, helm console, nav station, or equipment cabinet rather than an exposed cockpit or washdown area.

Key features
  • Central GX communications hub for Victron energy systems, including inverter/chargers, solar chargers, DC-DC chargers, battery monitors, and compatible batteries.
  • 8 to 70V DC supply range supports a wide spread of onboard DC system voltages when wired to a suitable fused DC source.
  • 3 VE.Direct ports, with support for up to 15 VE.Direct devices in total when expanded through USB, subject to system complexity.
  • 1 VE.Can port and 1 BMS-Can port for CAN-bus system integration, including managed battery communication where compatible.
  • 4 resistive tank level inputs for fuel, fresh water, waste, live well, oil, black water, diesel, raw water, and other supported fluid types.
  • Tank inputs can be configured for European 0-180 Ohm senders, US 240-30 Ohm senders, or a custom resistance range.
  • 4 temperature sense inputs allow the system to monitor supported battery, equipment, or compartment temperatures.
  • 4 digital inputs can be used for onboard status signals such as bilge, door, alarm, or other configured input functions.
  • 2 programmable NO/NC relays support functions such as alarms, generator start/stop, tank pump control, temperature-based control, or manual operation where supported by the system setup.
  • WiFi, Ethernet, Bluetooth, HDMI, and USB connections give installers several ways to set up, view, and connect the system.
  • Remote monitoring and configuration are available through VRM when the unit has an internet connection.
  • Can feed compatible marine displays through Victron MFD app integration or NMEA 2000-out when the required network cabling and configuration are used.
Installation and setup

The Cerbo GX can be wall mounted or fitted to a 35 mm DIN rail with the required DIN rail adapter. Because the housing is IP20 rated, mounting location matters: use a dry area with protection from spray, dripping water, salt mist, and direct weather exposure. It is a better match for an electrical panel, technical locker, dry console, or behind-helm electronics space than for an open cockpit.

Power is supplied through the Power in V+ connector, not through Ethernet or USB. The supplied DC power cable includes an inline 3.15 A slow-blow fuse, and the unit should be powered from a stable DC source that remains available when monitoring and remote access are needed. On boats with inverter/chargers, powering the GX unit directly from the battery side of the system is usually the cleaner approach because it keeps monitoring available when AC output is off.

Initial configuration can be handled locally through compatible display options, a browser on the local network, the built-in WiFi access point, or VictronConnect where applicable. Bluetooth is used to assist with initial connection and networking setup rather than to pair the Cerbo GX with other Victron products.

Electrical and network integration

The Cerbo GX is useful when a boat has several Victron components that need to work as one system rather than as separate devices. VE.Bus is used for compatible Multis, Quattros, and inverters, while VE.Direct brings in compatible battery monitors, SmartShunts, MPPT solar charge controllers, Orion XS units, and other supported devices. The built-in BMS-Can port is important for installations using compatible managed lithium battery systems.

For marine helm integration, the unit can make Victron system data available to compatible multifunction displays. Ethernet app integration can show shore power, generator status, battery status, inverter/charger information, solar production, AC and DC loads, tank levels, and temperatures on supported MFDs. NMEA 2000-out can also be used through the proper VE.Can to NMEA 2000 cabling when the chartplotter or display supports the relevant PGNs.

The two relays add practical control options on board. Relay 1 can be used for functions such as alarm relay, generator start/stop, tank pump, temperature-controlled relay, or manual operation. Relay 2 can be used for temperature-controlled relay or manual operation where the firmware and configuration support it.

Monitoring on board

For owners who spend time away from the dock, the Cerbo GX is especially useful because it gives a single place to check charging, battery state, shore power behavior, solar input, generator operation, and alerts. That makes it a strong fit for cruising boats, liveaboard systems, fishing boats with heavy electronics loads, and sailboats that depend on solar, alternator charging, inverter power, and battery monitoring during longer passages.

The tank and temperature inputs also help reduce panel clutter. Fuel, water, waste, and other supported tank levels can be brought into the GX environment, while temperatures can be monitored alongside the electrical system. When the boat is connected to the internet, VRM access lets the owner or installer check system status and review logged data away from the vessel.

Shipping
We ship worldwide from the United States. Rates are calculated at checkout based on destination and package weight. Some items include free shipping, which will show automatically. Not every product is eligible for international shipping; checkout will confirm eligibility. We do not ship to PO Boxes except through USPS, and not all packages qualify.

Processing and dispatch
Most orders are verified, packed, and handed to the carrier within 1 to 2 business days. Some products may need extra handling time or ship directly from the manufacturer. For certain international orders, inventory transfers between warehouses may add time. If any delay is expected, we will let you know the dispatch date.

Delivery and tracking
Deliveries are handled by trusted carriers such as USPS, UPS, FedEx, and DHL. Estimated arrival times appear at checkout and depend on your location and the service you choose. These are estimates and can be affected by customs or carrier disruptions. A shipping confirmation with a tracking link is emailed when your order ships, and tracking may take up to 24 hours to update. You can also view tracking in your account.

Duties, taxes, and support
International customers are responsible for any customs duties, taxes, and fees charged by the destination country. If these charges are refused and a shipment returns to us, the carrier’s return cost and any re-entry customs fees will be deducted from the refund. If your order is late or you need help, contact cs@qualityboatparts.com and we will assist you.

Quality Boat Parts is a reseller. Many items include a manufacturer’s warranty, and all warranty service is handled directly by the manufacturer. We do not manage or administer warranty claims on behalf of customers.

Warranty terms, coverage, and duration are set by each manufacturer. Issues involving defects, repairs, or replacements must be addressed with the manufacturer’s support team. When available, the warranty period is listed on the product page. If it is not shown, contact us or the manufacturer for details before purchasing.

To start a claim, the customer must contact the manufacturer and follow their process. Keep your proof of purchase and original packaging, and register the product if the manufacturer requires it, as these are often needed for warranty service.

We are happy to help you find the right contact or documentation, but we cannot decide outcomes or intervene in claim resolutions. For guidance, email cs@qualityboatparts.com.
