Overview

The Raymarine E70297 is a CP370 Digital Sonar Module for adding ClearPulse traditional sonar to a compatible Raymarine multifunction display. It gives anglers a dedicated black box sonar setup with 50 kHz and 200 kHz operation, up to 1 kW RMS output depending on the connected transducer, and a depth range from 3 ft to 5,000 ft in optimum conditions.

This module is built for boats that need stronger bottom tracking and cleaner fish returns than an entry-level fishfinder can usually deliver. The 200 kHz channel suits shallower inshore work where target detail matters, while 50 kHz is used for deeper offshore water and wider bottom coverage.

The CP370 runs on 12 V or 24 V DC systems, with an operating voltage range of 10.8 V DC to 31.2 V DC. It connects to the boat electronics network through RayNet at 10/100 Mb/s and uses a separate transducer connection, so the transducer selection still needs to match the vessel, mounting location, and fishing style.

Key features
  • ClearPulse digital sonar processing helps reduce noise and show fish targets through the water column with less manual adjustment.
  • Up to 1 kW RMS power output supports serious coastal and offshore fishing when paired with the correct transducer.
  • Fixed 50 kHz and 200 kHz channels cover common deep-water and inshore sonar use cases.
  • Depth capability reaches up to 5,000 ft in optimum conditions, depending on the transducer and installation.
  • IPX6 waterproof rating suits protected marine electronics locations that may still see spray or washdown exposure.
  • RayNet network connection at 10/100 Mb/s links the module into compatible Raymarine display systems.
  • 12 V and 24 V DC operation works with many small-boat and larger-vessel electrical systems.
  • 5 A fuse rating and 30.6 W maximum power consumption help with planning the power circuit.
Compatibility and system fit

The CP370 is made to work as part of a Raymarine display and sonar system. It is compatible with Raymarine aSeries, cSeries, eSeries, eS Series, gS Series, C-Series Widescreen, E-Series Widescreen, E Classic, and G-Series multifunction displays.

A compatible transducer is required for full operation, and the transducer choice affects output power, mounting style, temperature or speed sensing, depth performance, and hull fit. The module supports transom, through-hull, and in-hull transducer installations when matched with suitable equipment.

Installation and setup

The module has separate connections for power, RayNet networking, and the transducer. A clean installation should keep cable routing planned before mounting, with enough service loop for future access and a protected location that limits heat, standing water, and unnecessary vibration.

The housing measures 205.6 mm high, 299.4 mm wide, and 84.4 mm deep, and weighs 1.44 kg. Those dimensions make it suitable for mounting behind a console, inside an electronics compartment, or in another dry service area where the network and transducer cables can be routed without strain.

Use cases on board

This sonar module is a good match for fishing boats that already use Raymarine multifunction displays and need dependable bottom tracking at speed, over canyons, or in deeper offshore water. It also suits coastal anglers who want a dedicated sonar module rather than relying only on sonar built into a display.

For the best result, the CP370 should be installed with attention to transducer placement, clean power, and proper cable routing. Those details matter on real boats, especially where aerated water, electrical noise, or poor transducer location can limit sonar performance.

Shipping
We ship worldwide from the United States. Rates are calculated at checkout based on destination and package weight. Some items include free shipping, which will show automatically. Not every product is eligible for international shipping; checkout will confirm eligibility. We do not ship to PO Boxes except through USPS, and not all packages qualify.

Processing and dispatch
Most orders are verified, packed, and handed to the carrier within 1 to 2 business days. Some products may need extra handling time or ship directly from the manufacturer. For certain international orders, inventory transfers between warehouses may add time. If any delay is expected, we will let you know the dispatch date.

Delivery and tracking
Deliveries are handled by trusted carriers such as USPS, UPS, FedEx, and DHL. Estimated arrival times appear at checkout and depend on your location and the service you choose. These are estimates and can be affected by customs or carrier disruptions. A shipping confirmation with a tracking link is emailed when your order ships, and tracking may take up to 24 hours to update. You can also view tracking in your account.

Duties, taxes, and support
International customers are responsible for any customs duties, taxes, and fees charged by the destination country. If these charges are refused and a shipment returns to us, the carrier’s return cost and any re-entry customs fees will be deducted from the refund. If your order is late or you need help, contact cs@qualityboatparts.com and we will assist you.

Quality Boat Parts is a reseller. Many items include a manufacturer’s warranty, and all warranty service is handled directly by the manufacturer. We do not manage or administer warranty claims on behalf of customers.

Warranty terms, coverage, and duration are set by each manufacturer. Issues involving defects, repairs, or replacements must be addressed with the manufacturer’s support team. When available, the warranty period is listed on the product page. If it is not shown, contact us or the manufacturer for details before purchasing.

To start a claim, the customer must contact the manufacturer and follow their process. Keep your proof of purchase and original packaging, and register the product if the manufacturer requires it, as these are often needed for warranty service.

We are happy to help you find the right contact or documentation, but we cannot decide outcomes or intervene in claim resolutions. For guidance, email cs@qualityboatparts.com.
