Overview
The Hella Marine 996361131 is a 12V, 55W halogen deck floodlight that puts usable white light where you need it for docking, line handling, and deck checks.
A free-form reflector helps the beam look consistent up close, and the light comes prewired with a 12 ft (3.7 m) cable through a sealed rear cable gland.
The glass lens is bonded to the reflector to help keep dust and moisture out, and the bracket lets the lamp rotate through 180 degrees for upright or pendant mounting in spots that see vibration.
Key features
- Runs on 12V DC and uses a 55W H3 halogen bulb (included)
- Free-form reflector for illumination that stays even at close range
- Glass lens bonded to reflector for a sealed front assembly
- Sealed cable entry via threaded rear gland with nut
- Prewired 12 ft (3.7 m) cable for easier routing
- Bracket mount rotates through 180 degrees for upright or pendant mounting
- White fiber-reinforced housing that handles sun exposure and impacts
- Stainless bracket, bolts, and screws included for mounting
Installation and setup
Set the bracket where it will clear railings and rigging, then aim the lamp and tighten the hardware once you have the spread you want. The 180 degree adjustment helps when mounting under a hardtop, on a radar arch, or beneath spreaders.
Connect it to a switched 12V circuit and size wiring and circuit protection for a 55W load (about 4.6 A at 12V). In exposed locations, sealed connectors and tinned marine wire help keep corrosion from creeping into the circuit.
Compatibility and fit
This floodlight is for 12V DC systems. On 24V boats, plan on a suitable 24V to 12V converter or a 24V-rated fixture.
The rear gland entry is useful when you need the cable to pass through a deck, overhead, or bulkhead and you want the entry point to stay neat and protected.
Use on board
It suits cruisers and anglers who want a straightforward halogen work light for the foredeck, cockpit, or transom area, especially on boats that run in chop and put lighting mounts through regular vibration.
Maintenance and care
Halogen lamps run hot during use. Leave clearance around the lens, keep wiring and canvas away from the front of the light, and let the fixture cool before handling.
When replacing the H3 bulb, avoid touching the glass with bare fingers and make sure the rear cable gland is snug after any service work.

Quality Boat Parts is a reseller. Many items include a manufacturer’s warranty, and all warranty service is handled directly by the manufacturer. We do not manage or administer warranty claims on behalf of customers.
Warranty terms, coverage, and duration are set by each manufacturer. Issues involving defects, repairs, or replacements must be addressed with the manufacturer’s support team. When available, the warranty period is listed on the product page. If it is not shown, contact us or the manufacturer for details before purchasing.
To start a claim, the customer must contact the manufacturer and follow their process. Keep your proof of purchase and original packaging, and register the product if the manufacturer requires it, as these are often needed for warranty service.
