Overview

The Hella Marine 995002321 is a 360 degree all-round white navigation and anchor light with a 610 mm fold-down pole, built around a 12V 10W bulb and rated for 2 nautical miles of visibility.

It mounts as a horizontal surface-mount unit, so it works well on a cabin top, hardtop, or aft deck where you want the light up high, then folded down for storage, trailering, or a low bridge.

The housing and lens are UV and impact resistant plastic with an anodized aluminum pole. Wiring is pre-run with 100 mm of twin-core cable, so most installs will extend the leads to a nearby junction or switch panel.

Key features
  • All-round white light with 360 degree visibility and a 2 nautical mile rating
  • Fold-down 610 mm pole with a 44 mm lamp head diameter for space-conscious deck mounting
  • 12V incandescent bulb included (10W, SV8.5 fitting); 24V bulb option available
  • IPX6 protection for heavy spray and washdowns
  • Non-magnetic construction that helps keep compass areas cleaner from interference
  • UV and impact resistant plastic housing and lens, with an anodized aluminum pole for corrosion resistance
  • Pre-wired with 100 mm twin-core marine cable and supplied with stainless steel mounting screws
  • Approved to IMO COLREG 72, USCG, and ABYC A-16
Installation and setup

Bed the base on a flat surface and seal fastener holes to keep water out of the core or deck laminate. Because the lead is 100 mm, plan a dry connection point under the mounting surface or in a nearby locker.

The fold-down hinge is useful on trailer boats and in slips where you want to lower the light between trips. Leave enough slack in the wiring so the pole can move through its range without pulling on the conductors.

Electrical and system integration

This light runs on 12V DC and draws about 0.83 A with the supplied 10W bulb. For 24V systems, it takes a 10W 24V bulb that matches the SV8.5 / BAY15d fitting.

Wire it as a standard two-conductor circuit through your navigation or anchor light switch, and use marine-grade heat-shrink connectors where you extend the factory leads.

Use on board

This setup suits boats that need a traditional incandescent all-round anchor light on a folding pole, especially when the light needs to be stowed often for trailering or storage covers. It is a straightforward fit on small to mid-size powerboats, tenders, and sailboats when you have a clear mounting spot with an unobstructed 360 degree view.

Materials and durability

The lens uses UV-resistant acrylic with a frosted white finish to soften the all-round glow. The pole is anodized aluminum and the lamp body is plastic that holds up well in vibration-prone areas.

IPX6 means it can take spray and washdowns, but it is not meant for submersion. Keeping the lens clean and checking the mounting screws seasonally helps the light stay visible and the pole stay tight.

Quality Boat Parts is a reseller. Many items include a manufacturer’s warranty, and all warranty service is handled directly by the manufacturer. We do not manage or administer warranty claims on behalf of customers.

Warranty terms, coverage, and duration are set by each manufacturer. Issues involving defects, repairs, or replacements must be addressed with the manufacturer’s support team. When available, the warranty period is listed on the product page. If it is not shown, contact us or the manufacturer for details before purchasing.

To start a claim, the customer must contact the manufacturer and follow their process. Keep your proof of purchase and original packaging, and register the product if the manufacturer requires it, as these are often needed for warranty service.
