Overview
The Hella Marine 995002031 is a 12V all-round white anchor/navigation light on a fold-down pole, built to give 2 nautical mile visibility with full 360 degree coverage. It stands 20 in tall in the raised position and mounts on a base footprint of 2-3/16 in x 2-1/32 in, which helps when you are matching an existing pad or replacing an older light.
The pole adjusts through 180 degrees and locks where you set it, so it can be tilted down for trailering, storage, or low bridges without removing the base. A removable wedge is included to sit the base cleanly on a slightly cambered surface, which is common on transoms, hardtops, and coamings.
This light uses a 12V / 10W SV8.5 festoon bulb and comes pre-wired with 100 mm of marine cable for a quick hookup inside a console, hardtop, or under-deck chase. The housing carries an IPX6 rating for washdowns and heavy spray, and it meets IMO COLREG 72, USCG, and ABYC A-16 requirements for its class.

Installation and setup
Mount the base where the lens will have a clear, uninterrupted view around the horizon. On many boats that means the highest practical point on the hardtop, radar arch, or aft deck area, kept clear of antennas, flags, and rod holders that can block the light.
Use bedding compound under the base, seal fasteners properly, and route the cable so it is supported and protected from chafe. The 100 mm leads are meant to be joined inside a dry area using marine-grade, sealed connections, then run to your navigation/anchor light switch on a fused 12V circuit.
Compatibility and fit
This is a pole-mount all-round light commonly used as an anchor light, and it can also serve as the required all-round white navigation light on vessels where regulations allow that configuration. Confirm your existing lighting arrangement and mounting height, and make sure the chosen spot gives true 360 degree visibility once the boat is loaded and trimmed.
Maintenance and care
Rinse the lens and housing with fresh water after saltwater runs and avoid abrasive cleaners that can haze the lens over time. If the light output drops or fails, the SV8.5 12V / 10W festoon bulb is a standard service item and can be replaced as needed after isolating power at the switch or breaker.
