Overview

The Hella Marine 995002051 is a 2010 Series all-round white navigation light with a 305 mm fold-down pole and black mounting base for 12V systems. It uses a 12V / 10W SV8.5 bulb and is rated for 2 nautical miles visibility with a full 360 degree arc.

This is a practical pick when you need an anchor light that can be folded down for trailering, low bridges, covers, or storage. The housing and lens are UV resistant and impact resistant plastic, the pole is anodized aluminum, and the assembly is non-magnetic and saltwater resistant with IPX6 water protection.

Installation and setup

Mount the base where the light has a clear view around the horizon and where the pole can fold down without hitting rails, outboards, or canvas. The short 100 mm pigtail is meant to be joined inside the boat or in a protected junction, so plan your wire run and sealing method before you drill.

Because this is an incandescent bulb lamp, good connections matter. Use tinned marine wire for any extension, seal splices with adhesive-lined heat shrink, and keep the circuit protected with a properly sized fuse or breaker for your wiring plan.

Compatibility and fit

This lamp is for 12V DC systems and uses an SV8.5-base 10W bulb. The 305 mm pole height is a common middle ground on small powerboats and sailboats that need an all-round anchor light but still want the option to fold it down when space is tight.

Use on board

Maintenance and bulb replacement

Rinse salt off the lens and base after hard spray days and check the mounting screws periodically. Keep a spare 12V / 10W SV8.5 bulb on board so you can swap it quickly if the light goes out.
