Overview
The Raymarine T120 is a masthead wind transmitter with wireless Micronet data and solar charging for Raymarine Micronet instrument systems. It measures apparent wind speed and direction at the top of the rig and sends that data by wireless link, so wind information can be added without pulling a cable down the mast.
Built-in solar panels keep the internal battery charged, with up to 300 hours of autonomous operation. The sealed housing is waterproof and submersible to 10 m, which matters at the masthead where the unit sees spray, rain, UV, and constant movement.
At about 230 g (0.51 lb), the transmitter keeps added weight aloft low. It can also feed a wired SeaTalkng instrument network when used with an optional MicroTalk wireless gateway, making it useful for refits, racing displays, and cruising boats that already use Raymarine instruments.
Key features
- Micronet wireless link sends wind speed and direction data to compatible Raymarine wireless instrument displays without a mast cable.
- Solar charging and an internal battery support up to 300 hours of autonomous operation.
- Waterproof sealed construction is rated for submersion to 10 m, helping protect the transmitter in spray, rain, and masthead exposure.
- Can interface with a wired SeaTalkng instrument network through an optional MicroTalk wireless gateway.
- Light 230 g (0.51 lb) masthead unit helps limit added weight aloft.
- Calibration for wind speed and direction is carried out from compatible displays.
- Masthead bracket installation uses three mounting screws, with no cable run down the spar.
What's included
- Wind transducer
- Masthead mounting bracket

Compatibility and system integration
The T120 is intended for Raymarine Micronet wireless instrument systems and compatible Raymarine wireless displays. With an optional MicroTalk wireless gateway, the same wind data can be brought into a SeaTalkng network for use with wired Raymarine instruments.
This product suits sailboats where running new mast wiring is difficult, including refits with the rig still stepped, club racing boats where weight aloft matters, and cruising boats that need wind data without opening bulkheads or routing a new cable through the spar.
Installation and setup
The transmitter mounts at the masthead with the transmitter head forward of the mast and the wand aligned with the boat's fore-and-aft centerline. Installation uses the mounting bracket as a drilling template for three 4 mm holes, then the bracket is fixed to the masthead before the wand is secured in place.
After mounting, the wind vane and anemometer cups should move freely before the system is calibrated. Calibration and alignment are completed through the compatible instrument display, which helps match the displayed wind angle to the boat's centerline.
Maintenance and service
The sealed wireless design keeps routine upkeep simple, with no mast cable or deck gland to inspect for this transmitter. The wind vane, anemometer cups, and bearing assembly are serviceable replacement items, so common masthead wear parts can be addressed without replacing the whole instrument system.

Quality Boat Parts is a reseller. Many items include a manufacturer’s warranty, and all warranty service is handled directly by the manufacturer. We do not manage or administer warranty claims on behalf of customers.
Warranty terms, coverage, and duration are set by each manufacturer. Issues involving defects, repairs, or replacements must be addressed with the manufacturer’s support team. When available, the warranty period is listed on the product page. If it is not shown, contact us or the manufacturer for details before purchasing.
To start a claim, the customer must contact the manufacturer and follow their process. Keep your proof of purchase and original packaging, and register the product if the manufacturer requires it, as these are often needed for warranty service.
