Overview
The Garmin BlueChart g3 HD is a regional electronic chart for compatible Garmin chartplotters, covering Australia’s northeastern coastline from Mornington Island down to Hervey Bay (HXPC413S).
It adds practical navigation detail like aids to navigation, spot soundings, depth contours, tides and currents, plus harbor and marina information. On compatible units, Depth Range Shading can be set with up to 10 depth ranges, and Shallow Water Shading can be set to a user-defined depth so thin-water areas are easier to spot while you are working reef edges, channels, and port approaches.
Key features
- Coverage for Australia’s northeast coast from Mornington Island to Hervey Bay, including areas such as Cape York, Cairns, Townsville, Mackay, and the Great Barrier Reef.
- Navigation detail layers including aids to navigation, spot soundings, depth contours, tides and currents, and harbor and marina information.
- Depth Range Shading support with up to 10 adjustable depth ranges on compatible Garmin chartplotters.
- Shallow Water Shading setting that can be set to a user-defined depth on compatible units.
- HD contour detail listed as up to 1-foot contours for a clearer view of bottom structure in supported areas.
- Available as BlueChart g3 or BlueChart g3 Vision, in either preprogrammed card format or download format.
Variants
This chart region is offered as BlueChart g3 (HXPC413S) or BlueChart g3 Vision (VPC413S), and each is available either on a preprogrammed card or as a download.
The Vision versions add premium chart layers such as 3D views and imagery features on compatible plotters, while the card versus download choice mainly changes how you receive the chart and how it gets onto your microSD/SD media.
- 010-C0871-20: BlueChart g3, SD Card format. Supplied as a microSD card with an SD adapter so it can fit either microSD or full-size SD chart slots.
- 010-D0543-00: BlueChart g3, Download format. Installed to a microSD/SD card using Garmin Express, then used in the chartplotter like a standard chart card.
- 010-C0871-00: BlueChart g3 Vision, SD Card format. Supplied as a microSD card with an SD adapter for use in compatible Garmin chartplotters.
- 010-D0521-00: BlueChart g3 Vision, Download format. Installed to a microSD/SD card using Garmin Express before going into the chartplotter.
Compatibility and fit
This chart is for Garmin units that support BlueChart g3 or BlueChart g3 Vision cartography and read charts from a microSD or SD card slot. If your plotter uses a different Garmin mapping format, it will not recognize this chart.
Because the cartography runs from the card, the chart media needs to stay inserted while you are navigating in this region.
Installation and setup
For card versions, insert the chart card and select the chart in your plotter’s chart settings. For download versions, Garmin Express installs the chart to a microSD/SD card, and that card is then inserted and used the same way.
Only one marine chart can be installed to a single microSD/SD card, so plan on dedicating a card to this region if you are using the download format.
Use on board
This region card suits skippers cruising the Queensland coast, running between ports where tides matter, or fishing structure where tight depth detail helps you read contours and edges. It also works well as a dedicated regional card if you rotate charts between different cruising grounds through the year.
Shipping
We ship worldwide from the United States. Rates are calculated at checkout based on destination and package weight. Some items include free shipping, which will show automatically. Not every product is eligible for international shipping; checkout will confirm eligibility. We do not ship to PO Boxes except through USPS, and not all packages qualify.
Processing and dispatch
Most orders are verified, packed, and handed to the carrier within 1 to 2 business days. Some products may need extra handling time or ship directly from the manufacturer. For certain international orders, inventory transfers between warehouses may add time. If any delay is expected, we will let you know the dispatch date.

Deliveries are handled by trusted carriers such as USPS, UPS, FedEx, and DHL. Estimated arrival times appear at checkout and depend on your location and the service you choose. These are estimates and can be affected by customs or carrier disruptions. A shipping confirmation with a tracking link is emailed when your order ships, and tracking may take up to 24 hours to update. You can also view tracking in your account.
Duties, taxes, and support
International customers are responsible for any customs duties, taxes, and fees charged by the destination country. If these charges are refused and a shipment returns to us, the carrier’s return cost and any re-entry customs fees will be deducted from the refund. If your order is late or you need help, contact cs@qualityboatparts.com and we will assist you.
Quality Boat Parts is a reseller. Many items include a manufacturer’s warranty, and all warranty service is handled directly by the manufacturer. We do not manage or administer warranty claims on behalf of customers.
Warranty terms, coverage, and duration are set by each manufacturer. Issues involving defects, repairs, or replacements must be addressed with the manufacturer’s support team. When available, the warranty period is listed on the product page. If it is not shown, contact us or the manufacturer for details before purchasing.
To start a claim, the customer must contact the manufacturer and follow their process. Keep your proof of purchase and original packaging, and register the product if the manufacturer requires it, as these are often needed for warranty service.
