Overview
The Perko 1082DP3WHT is a white flush latch for smooth or carpeted mounting surfaces. It is a non-locking latch with a 2-7/8 inch by 2-7/8 inch face plate, and it installs in a 2-3/8 inch diameter cutout on panels from 3/8 inch to 7/8 inch thick.
This version uses Perko's No. 3 straight cam bar arrangement with a flexible strike, which makes it a practical choice for locker doors, access panels, and other compartments where you want a flush pull instead of a surface handle that can catch on gear, clothing, or bare feet. The white polymer body keeps the look clean on fiberglass and interior panels, while the stainless steel D ring handle, stem, and lock nut hold up better in the wet marine environment.
Two O-rings add resistance to water working through the latch opening, and the built-in position indicators make it easier to see whether the latch is open or closed at a glance. Because this is a latch and not a keyed lock, it suits compartments that need secure closure without acting as a theft-deterrent lockset.

Compatibility and fit
This latch works well on cockpit storage doors, seat base compartments, cabin access panels, and similar closures where a low-profile finish matters. It is especially useful in places where people step, sit, or move gear across the surface and a raised pull could become a snag point.
Before ordering, check the cutout size, panel thickness, and the latch geometry behind the panel. The DP3 straight cam bar setup matters because latch hardware behind the door or hatch has to line up correctly with the closing point for smooth operation.
Installation and setup
Installation starts with a 2-3/8 inch hole. On smooth surfaces, the gasket is used at the face of the latch. On carpeted surfaces, that gasket is left out so the latch can seat correctly against the material. The square face plate covers the cutout cleanly once the latch is mounted.
This model fits common marine panel thicknesses from 3/8 inch to 7/8 inch, which covers many molded compartment doors and interior access panels. The flush D ring gives you a simple finger pull when you need to open the compartment, then folds back down flat when closed.
Use on board
This is a good match for boat owners replacing an older plastic or metal flush pull on a locker or inspection door, and for builders who want a clean white finish that does not stand proud of the panel. It makes the most sense in storage and service-access areas where quick access, a tidy face, and resistance to spray matter more than keyed locking.

Quality Boat Parts is a reseller. Many items include a manufacturer’s warranty, and all warranty service is handled directly by the manufacturer. We do not manage or administer warranty claims on behalf of customers.
Warranty terms, coverage, and duration are set by each manufacturer. Issues involving defects, repairs, or replacements must be addressed with the manufacturer’s support team. When available, the warranty period is listed on the product page. If it is not shown, contact us or the manufacturer for details before purchasing.
To start a claim, the customer must contact the manufacturer and follow their process. Keep your proof of purchase and original packaging, and register the product if the manufacturer requires it, as these are often needed for warranty service.
We are happy to help you find the right contact or documentation, but we cannot decide outcomes or intervene in claim resolutions. For guidance, email cs@qualityboatparts.com.
