Reliable Data Recording for Marine Applications
Maretron’s VDR100 Vessel Data Recorder is designed to capture and store essential data from every device connected to an NMEA 2000® network. Utilizing solid-state memory technology, this unit continuously records vessel data, ensuring reliable performance analysis, preventative maintenance, and accident investigations. The recorded data is easily accessible via a removable USB flash drive (sold separately), making it simple to analyze operational history and optimize performance.
Advanced Circular Buffer Technology
The VDR100 employs a circular buffer system, meaning the newest data overwrites the oldest only when storage reaches full capacity. This ensures that the most recent operational details are always available for retrieval. The amount of data stored depends on the USB flash drive’s capacity, with the potential to hold over a year’s worth of information.
Seamless Data Extraction and Analysis
Extracting and analyzing recorded data is straightforward with Maretron’s free N2KExtractor™ software. Users can generate comma-delimited (.csv) files for use with spreadsheet applications like Microsoft® Excel®, enabling detailed performance tracking, fuel efficiency analysis, vessel tracking, and more.

The VDR100’s storage capability depends on the USB flash drive used. Below are estimated storage capacities based on a 25% loaded system (approximately 463 frames per second):
- 1 second: 7,862 bytes
- 1 minute: 471,750 bytes
- 1 hour: 29 MB
- 1 day: 680 MB
- 1 week: 5 GB
- 1 month (30 days): 21 GB
- 1 year (365 days): 248 GB

Shipping
We ship worldwide from the United States. Rates are calculated at checkout based on destination and package weight. Some items include free shipping, which will show automatically. Not every product is eligible for international shipping; checkout will confirm eligibility. We do not ship to PO Boxes except through USPS, and not all packages qualify.
Processing and dispatch
Most orders are verified, packed, and handed to the carrier within 1 to 2 business days. Some products may need extra handling time or ship directly from the manufacturer. For certain international orders, inventory transfers between warehouses may add time. If any delay is expected, we will let you know the dispatch date.
Delivery and tracking
Deliveries are handled by trusted carriers such as USPS, UPS, FedEx, and DHL. Estimated arrival times appear at checkout and depend on your location and the service you choose. These are estimates and can be affected by customs or carrier disruptions. A shipping confirmation with a tracking link is emailed when your order ships, and tracking may take up to 24 hours to update. You can also view tracking in your account.
Duties, taxes, and support
International customers are responsible for any customs duties, taxes, and fees charged by the destination country. If these charges are refused and a shipment returns to us, the carrier’s return cost and any re-entry customs fees will be deducted from the refund. To start a claim, the customer must contact the manufacturer and follow their process. Keep your proof of purchase and original packaging, and register the product if the manufacturer requires it, as these are often needed for warranty service.
