Overview
The Vimar Plana Series is a 4-module cover plate that finishes a Plana modular device group with a clean look that sits flush on the surface.
It can be mounted in horizontal or vertical orientation and uses clamp mounting so it snaps onto the compatible 4-module support. The degree of protection is IP00, so it belongs in dry interior locations. Height is 80 mm and depth is 9 mm, which helps it stay low profile on bulkheads and cabin panels.
On board, it is commonly used to tidy up switch banks at the helm, nav station, galley, and cabins where you want consistent trim around switches, dimmers, outlets, and similar modules.
Key features
- 4-module cover plate format for Vimar Plana installations
- Mounting direction supports horizontal and vertical orientation
- Clamp mounting for a snap-on fit to the matching 4-module support
- Halogen-free construction
- IP00 rating for dry, protected interior use
- 80 mm height and 9 mm depth for a slim edge around the device openings
Variants
This cover plate family is offered in many finishes so you can match surrounding surfaces and hardware. The range includes standard solid colors, Reflex finishes, and Plana Up Design finishes.
Material varies by configuration and includes technopolymer, metal, and solid wood. Finish and material are the primary differences between variants, while the format remains a 4-module Plana cover plate.
Compatibility and fit
This plate is intended for Vimar Plana 4-module supports and Plana modular devices. It fits a single row of four modules and can be oriented either way depending on how the support is installed behind the panel.
Because it is IP00, plan on installing it where it will not be exposed to spray, washdowns, dripping condensation, or direct weather. For heads, cockpit zones, and exterior panels, use an enclosure and cover system that is built for that exposure level.
Installation and setup
Install the support and devices first, check that the module faces sit level, then press the cover plate on until the clamps engage. If the mounting surface is a thin liner or a flexible panel, make sure the support is backed properly so the plate can clip on without the panel bowing.
When you are lining up multiple plates on a switch panel, dry-fit and square everything before final tightening so the gaps stay even and the edges do not bind.
Use cases on board
This is a good match for refits that are standardizing on Vimar Plana modules throughout the interior, and for new builds that want a consistent finish across switch banks and outlets. The finish and material range also helps when you are trying to match a light headliner, a darker wood interior, or metallic trim at the helm.
Maintenance and care
Wipe with a soft cloth and mild soap. Avoid abrasive pads and strong solvents, especially on plated metal finishes and wood versions, to keep the surface looking even and the edges crisp.
Shipping
We ship worldwide from the United States. Rates are calculated at checkout based on destination and package weight. Some items include free shipping, which will show automatically. Not every product is eligible for international shipping; checkout will confirm eligibility. We do not ship to PO Boxes except through USPS, and not all packages qualify.
Processing and dispatch
Most orders are verified, packed, and handed to the carrier within 1 to 2 business days. Some products may need extra handling time or ship directly from the manufacturer. For certain international orders, inventory transfers between warehouses may add time. If any delay is expected, we will let you know the dispatch date.
Delivery and tracking
Deliveries are handled by trusted carriers such as USPS, UPS, FedEx, and DHL. Estimated arrival times appear at checkout and depend on your location and the service you choose. These are estimates and can be affected by customs or carrier disruptions. A shipping confirmation with a tracking link is emailed when your order ships, and tracking may take up to 24 hours to update. You can also view tracking in your account.
Duties, taxes, and support
International customers are responsible for any customs duties, taxes, and fees charged by the destination country. If these charges are refused and a shipment returns to us, the carrier’s return cost and any re-entry customs fees will be deducted from the refund. If your order is late or you need help, contact cs@qualityboatparts.com and we will assist you.
Quality Boat Parts is a reseller. Many items include a manufacturer’s warranty, and all warranty service is handled directly by the manufacturer. We do not manage or administer warranty claims on behalf of customers.
Warranty terms, coverage, and duration are set by each manufacturer. Issues involving defects, repairs, or replacements must be addressed with the manufacturer’s support team. When available, the warranty period is listed on the product page. If it is not shown, contact us or the manufacturer for details before purchasing.
To start a claim, the customer must contact the manufacturer and follow their process. Keep your proof of purchase and original packaging, and register the product if the manufacturer requires it, as these are often needed for warranty service.
We are happy to help you find the right contact or documentation, but we cannot decide outcomes or intervene in claim resolutions. For guidance, email cs@qualityboatparts.com.
