Overview
The Garmin South America, Amazon River Inland Maps is an electronic chart for compatible Garmin chartplotters, covering the Amazon River from Benjamin Constant, Brazil to the Atlantic Ocean, plus sections of the Madeira River to Porto Velho and portions of the Tapajos and Para Rivers.
Across the range you get depth range shading for up to 10 depth ranges and chart detail with contours that can be as fine as 1 foot, which helps when you are working a specific edge or picking a safe line in shallow water.
The main choice is between BlueChart g3 (HXSA009R) and BlueChart g3 Vision (VSA009R). Both include Auto Guidance route suggestions and the core navigation layers; the Vision version adds photo and 3D style layers such as aerial photography, satellite imagery overlays, and MarinerEye and FishEye views where available.
Key features
- Coverage for the Amazon River system: Benjamin Constant to the Atlantic, the Madeira River to Porto Velho, and portions of the Tapajos and Para Rivers
- Two chart content levels: BlueChart g3 (HXSA009R) or BlueChart g3 Vision (VSA009R)
- Auto Guidance route suggestions based on your boat settings, helping with trip planning and obstacle awareness
- Depth range shading for up to 10 depth ranges and detailed contours that can be as fine as 1 foot
- Shallow water shading at a user-defined depth to make problem areas stand out at a glance
- Delivery options: preprogrammed microSD/SD card or a downloadable version installed to a microSD/SD card using Garmin Express
Variants
This chart is offered in multiple configurations so you can match the chart content level and the way you want to load it onto your system.
What changes between variants is the BlueChart version (g3 Vision VSA009R or standard g3 HXSA009R) and whether you receive a preprogrammed card or a download you install to a microSD/SD card.
- 010-C1066-00: BlueChart g3 Vision (VSA009R), SD Card. This is the plug-in option for chartplotters with a microSD/SD slot.
- 010-D1146-00: BlueChart g3 Vision (VSA009R), Download. This version is installed to a microSD/SD card through Garmin Express for use in a registered compatible chartplotter.
- 010-C1066-20: BlueChart g3 (HXSA009R), SD Card. This is the core chart package without the extra Vision photo and 3D layers.
- 010-D1145-00: BlueChart g3 (HXSA009R), Download. This version is installed to a microSD/SD card through Garmin Express for use in a registered compatible chartplotter.
Compatibility and fit
This cartography is for Garmin chartplotters that support BlueChart g3 or BlueChart g3 Vision and have a microSD/SD card slot. If you are using a download variant, plan on a computer with Garmin Express and a microSD/SD card to load the chart.
Auto Guidance uses the boat information you enter in the chartplotter. For routes that make sense on the water, confirm your draft and any clearance limits in your setup, then treat the suggested path as a planning aid rather than a substitute for local knowledge and real-time conditions.
Installation and updates
For SD card variants, insert the card into the chartplotter and select the chart from your chart menu. For download variants, Garmin Express installs the purchased chart to a microSD/SD card; only one chart is installed per card, so keep a dedicated card for this region.
If your boat sees heavy vibration or frequent card swaps, label the card and store it in a dry case when it is not in the plotter. That helps keep contacts clean and avoids small read errors caused by moisture and grime.
Use cases on board
This chart is a good match for skippers running inland passages on the Amazon and connected rivers, whether you are moving between towns, doing long river legs, or planning fishing runs that depend on bottom detail and consistent depth presentation.
Shipping
We ship worldwide from the United States. Rates are calculated at checkout based on destination and package weight. Some items include free shipping, which will show automatically. Not every product is eligible for international shipping; checkout will confirm eligibility. We do not ship to PO Boxes except through USPS, and not all packages qualify.
Processing and dispatch
Most orders are verified, packed, and handed to the carrier within 1 to 2 business days. Some products may need extra handling time or ship directly from the manufacturer. For certain international orders, inventory transfers between warehouses may add time. If any delay is expected, we will let you know the dispatch date.
Delivery and tracking
Deliveries are handled by trusted carriers such as USPS, UPS, FedEx, and DHL. Estimated arrival times appear at checkout and depend on your location and the service you choose. These are estimates and can be affected by customs or carrier disruptions. A shipping confirmation with a tracking link is emailed when your order ships, and tracking may take up to 24 hours to update. You can also view tracking in your account.
Duties, taxes, and support
International customers are responsible for any customs duties, taxes, and fees charged by the destination country. If these charges are refused and a shipment returns to us, the carrier’s return cost and any re-entry customs fees will be deducted from the refund. If your order is late or you need help, contact cs@qualityboatparts.com and we will assist you.
Quality Boat Parts is a reseller. Many items include a manufacturer’s warranty, and all warranty service is handled directly by the manufacturer. We do not manage or administer warranty claims on behalf of customers.
Warranty terms, coverage, and duration are set by each manufacturer. Issues involving defects, repairs, or replacements must be addressed with the manufacturer’s support team. When available, the warranty period is listed on the product page. If it is not shown, contact us or the manufacturer for details before purchasing.
To start a claim, the customer must contact the manufacturer and follow their process. Keep your proof of purchase and original packaging, and register the product if the manufacturer requires it, as these are often needed for warranty service.
We are happy to help you find the right contact or documentation, but we cannot decide outcomes or intervene in claim resolutions. For guidance, email cs@qualityboatparts.com.
