Overview

The Blue Sea Systems 8264 is a 24-position traditional metal DC circuit breaker panel for 12V and 24V systems. It comes pre-wired with positive, negative, and grounding buses already in place, and each bus is rated for up to 100A. The panel face measures 7.50 in x 14.75 in, which gives you room for a larger branch circuit layout without stepping into a custom panel build.

This panel makes sense on boats that carry a long list of DC loads such as lighting, electronics, pumps, refrigeration, fans, and accessories that need their own switched and protected circuits. Backlit label positions help when the panel is mounted below deck or in a helm area with low light, and each circuit position has an ON indicator LED so it is easy to see which circuits are energized.

Because the buses are already installed and the panel is pre-wired, it cuts down on layout time during a refit or new install. It also works well as an extension to an existing panel or as a full replacement when an older system no longer has enough breaker positions.

Key features
  • 24 branch circuit positions for boats that need a larger DC distribution panel
  • Rated for 12V DC and 24V DC systems with 100A capacity per bus
  • Positive, negative, and grounding buses are installed and pre-wired
  • Backlit circuit label positions with ON indicator LEDs at every circuit position
  • 0.125 in 5052-H32 aluminum panel with a graphite textured polyurethane finish
  • Overall size is 7.50 in x 14.75 in, with a cutout of 13-29/32 in x 6-11/16 in
  • Supplied with 15 white toggle single-pole 15A branch breakers and a 30-label set
Installation and fit

Check both the front opening and the cutout before replacing an older distribution panel. This model is a better fit where you have enough dash, bulkhead, or cabin panel space for a wider layout and want room for future branch circuits without moving to a custom electrical board.

The panel should be mounted where the front and back stay protected from water, or covered with a waterproof shield if either side may be exposed. It should not be installed in spaces where gasoline, propane, or battery vapors can collect, because the breakers are not ignition protected.

For the main feed and return, wire size should match the total current that will pass through the panel. On this 24-position layout, the jumpers between the positive buses and between the negative buses should be the same size as the main feed and return conductors.

Use on board

This panel is a strong match for cruising boats, larger center consoles, sailboats, and workboats that have grown beyond a small accessory panel. It is especially useful in refits where you want one clean location for breaker switching, branch protection, and labeled DC circuits that are easy to trace later.

Quality Boat Parts is a reseller. Many items include a manufacturer’s warranty, and all warranty service is handled directly by the manufacturer. We do not manage or administer warranty claims on behalf of customers.

Warranty terms, coverage, and duration are set by each manufacturer. Issues involving defects, repairs, or replacements must be addressed with the manufacturer’s support team. When available, the warranty period is listed on the product page. If it is not shown, contact us or the manufacturer for details before purchasing.

To start a claim, the customer must contact the manufacturer and follow their process. Keep your proof of purchase and original packaging, and register the product if the manufacturer requires it, as these are often needed for warranty service.

We are happy to help you find the right contact or documentation, but we cannot decide outcomes or intervene in claim resolutions. For guidance, email cs@qualityboatparts.com.
