Overview
The Hella Marine 357209001 is a ValueFit Design Series 6-LED light bar with a combo beam for deck, spreader, and general work lighting on boats. It runs on 10-30 V DC (12 V and 24 V systems) and draws 60 W.
Light output is rated at 3,000 lm, and the housing carries an IP67 rating for spray and washdowns when installed with proper sealing and wiring protection. The bar measures 289 x 65 x 90 mm (11.37 x 2.56 x 3.54 in) and uses a die-cast aluminum housing with a clear polycarbonate lens.
This size and beam style make sense when you want one fixture that can light up a working area close to the boat while still throwing useful light forward for docking, line handling, and after-dark tasks.
Key features
- 6 high-power LEDs with a combo beam pattern (wide spread with added reach)
- 10-30 V DC input for common 12 V and 24 V electrical systems
- 60 W draw, roughly 5 A at 12 V and 2.5 A at 24 V for circuit planning
- IP67-rated enclosure for wet environments and regular washdowns
- Die-cast aluminum housing with a clear polycarbonate lens
- Overall size: 289 x 65 x 90 mm (11.37 x 2.56 x 3.54 in)
- Stainless steel mounting fasteners help reduce corrosion issues in saltwater use
Installation and setup
Mount it where the beam can do its job without shining directly into the cockpit or reflecting off shiny hardware. On a hardtop, radar arch, or mast spreader, aim the bar slightly down so light lands on the deck and transom area instead of the horizon.
Use a backing plate or substantial washers on thin panels, and bed any fastener penetrations so water stays out of the core. If mounting to aluminum structures, take basic anti-galvanic precautions at the hardware and contact points.
Electrical and system integration
This is a straightforward DC light with wire leads, so it ties into your existing switched circuit rather than a marine network. Plan a clean run back to a protected distribution point, and use tinned marine wire with heat-shrink terminations to keep corrosion out of the connections.
Because it is a 60 W load, pay attention to voltage drop on longer runs to towers, arches, and spreaders. Keeping the wiring sized for the run and the environment helps the light stay bright at the fixture when the alternator is not running.
Compatibility and fit
The 289 mm overall length suits smaller boats where a long bar would look out of place or be hard to mount. It is also a practical option on sailboats where a compact spreader light can be positioned to light the foredeck without adding much windage.
This is auxiliary lighting meant for working areas and visibility around the boat. It is not a navigation light and should not be used in place of required running lights.
Maintenance and care
Rinse with fresh water after salt exposure and check mounting hardware periodically for tightness, especially if the boat sees pounding or vibration. Clean the polycarbonate lens with mild soap and water and avoid harsh solvents that can haze plastic over time.
Shipping
We ship worldwide from the United States. Rates are calculated at checkout based on destination and package weight. Some items include free shipping, which will show automatically. Not every product is eligible for international shipping; checkout will confirm eligibility. We do not ship to PO Boxes except through USPS, and not all packages qualify.
Processing and dispatch
Most orders are verified, packed, and handed to the carrier within 1 to 2 business days. Some products may need extra handling time or ship directly from the manufacturer. For certain international orders, inventory transfers between warehouses may add time. If any delay is expected, we will let you know the dispatch date.
Delivery and tracking
Deliveries are handled by trusted carriers such as USPS, UPS, FedEx, and DHL. Estimated arrival times appear at checkout and depend on your location and the service you choose. These are estimates and can be affected by customs or carrier disruptions. A shipping confirmation with a tracking link is emailed when your order ships, and tracking may take up to 24 hours to update. You can also view tracking in your account.
Duties, taxes, and support
International customers are responsible for any customs duties, taxes, and fees charged by the destination country. If these charges are refused and a shipment returns to us, the carrier’s return cost and any re-entry customs fees will be deducted from the refund. If your order is late or you need help, contact cs@qualityboatparts.com and we will assist you.
Quality Boat Parts is a reseller. Many items include a manufacturer’s warranty, and all warranty service is handled directly by the manufacturer. We do not manage or administer warranty claims on behalf of customers.
Warranty terms, coverage, and duration are set by each manufacturer. Issues involving defects, repairs, or replacements must be addressed with the manufacturer’s support team. When available, the warranty period is listed on the product page. If it is not shown, contact us or the manufacturer for details before purchasing.
To start a claim, the customer must contact the manufacturer and follow their process. Keep your proof of purchase and original packaging, and register the product if the manufacturer requires it, as these are often needed for warranty service.
We are happy to help you find the right contact or documentation, but we cannot decide outcomes or intervene in claim resolutions. For guidance, email cs@qualityboatparts.com.
