Overview

The TACO Marine F16-0212-F is a Striker gunnel mount base set for 1-1/8 inch outrigger poles, made for boats that need a clean, low-profile outrigger mounting point along the gunwale. It is sold in pairs and uses polished Type 316L stainless steel, which suits exposed saltwater locations where corrosion resistance matters.

This mount works with TACO Marine 1-1/8 inch Tele-Outrigger poles and is also commonly used with Lee, Perko, and Rupp outrigger poles of the same size. The 45 degree ambidextrous arm can be used on port or starboard bases, while the removable arm helps keep the gunwale clear when the outriggers are not in use.

The hex nut locking design gives the setup 12 locking positions, including stand-up and lay-down positions for trolling. It is intended for trolling speeds only; outriggers should be placed in the vertical position when the boat is running at speed.

Key features
  • Fits 1-1/8 inch outrigger poles, including TACO Marine Tele-Outrigger poles and compatible Lee, Perko, and Rupp poles of the same diameter.
  • Polished Type 316L stainless steel construction helps the bases hold up in saltwater, spray, and regular washdowns.
  • Hex nut locking design gives 12 positions for trolling layouts, including stand-up and lay-down configurations.
  • Ambidextrous 45 degree arm works with both port and starboard bases, which helps simplify installation and spare-part planning.
  • Removable arm keeps the gunwale more open when the outrigger setup is not being used.
  • Sold in pairs for matching port and starboard outrigger mounting points.
  • Backed by a 3-year limited warranty.
Installation and setup

This gunnel mount is a good fit for smaller sportfishing boats, center consoles, and skiffs where a full outrigger base needs to sit close to the gunwale rather than on a hardtop or tower. Before drilling, check that the mounting area has enough backing, clearance below the gunwale, and room for the arm to move through the positions you plan to use while trolling.

Because the arm is removable, the bases can stay installed while the deck edge remains easier to move around, clean, and cover. This is useful on boats where the same gunwale area is used for fishing, docking, boarding, or storage.

Compatibility and use on board

The F16-0212-F is meant for 1-1/8 inch outrigger systems, so pole diameter is the first fit point to confirm. It suits trolling setups where the crew needs adjustable spreader positions without adding a large above-deck mechanism.

For safe operation, use the bases at trolling speeds and return the outriggers to the vertical position before running the boat at speed. That detail matters on open water, where wind load, vibration, and boat motion can put extra strain on outrigger hardware.

Maintenance and care

After saltwater use, rinse the stainless steel bases with fresh water and wipe away salt deposits around the locking surfaces and mounting area. Periodic inspection of the fasteners, backing area, and moving parts helps keep the outrigger setup secure through regular fishing use.

Quality Boat Parts is a reseller. Many items include a manufacturer’s warranty, and all warranty service is handled directly by the manufacturer. We do not manage or administer warranty claims on behalf of customers.

Warranty terms, coverage, and duration are set by each manufacturer. Issues involving defects, repairs, or replacements must be addressed with the manufacturer’s support team. When available, the warranty period is listed on the product page. If it is not shown, contact us or the manufacturer for details before purchasing.

To start a claim, the customer must contact the manufacturer and follow their process. Keep your proof of purchase and original packaging, and register the product if the manufacturer requires it, as these are often needed for warranty service.
