Overview
The Garmin BlueChart g3 Vision HD VEU482S is an electronic chart for Southern Ireland, covering waters from Wexford to Ventry (Dingle Bay area) with additional detail around Dungarvan, Cork, and Cahersiveen, available as a microSD/SD card or as a download. It includes up to 1-foot contours, Depth Range Shading with up to 10 depth ranges, and Shallow Water Shading that you set to your own cutoff.
Premium layers add satellite imagery over the chart, plus 3D perspectives with MarinerEye and FishEye views. Auto Guidance can suggest a route based on your settings for depth and overhead clearance, and it is meant for planning rather than replacing on-water navigation.
Key features
- Coverage for Southern Ireland from Wexford to Ventry, with additional detail around Dungarvan, Cork, and Cahersiveen
- Auto Guidance route suggestions based on your chosen depth and overhead clearance settings (planning tool)
- Depth Range Shading for up to 10 depth ranges for quick visual checks against your target depth
- Shallow Water Shading at a user-defined depth to help highlight areas you want to avoid
- Up to 1-foot contours for bottom detail that helps with structure reading and approach planning
- Satellite imagery overlay to make shoreline and harbor areas easier to recognize at a glance
- 3D chart views with MarinerEye and FishEye for extra perspective above and below the waterline
- Aerial photography coverage in many ports, harbors, and marinas for better visual orientation
Variants
This chart is offered in two formats so you can match how you load cartography on your Garmin system.
The format is the main difference between versions. Both options reference the same VEU482S coverage area and chart feature set, while delivery and loading methods differ.
- 010-C0826-00: Format microSD/SD. The chart comes on a preloaded memory card that installs by inserting it into a compatible chartplotter card slot; the card needs to stay inserted while you use the chart.
- 010-D0417-00: Format Download. The chart is delivered digitally and is loaded to an SD card using Garmin Express before installing that card in the chartplotter.
Compatibility and fit
This cartography is for compatible Garmin chartplotters and marine handhelds that support BlueChart g3 Vision. It is not the newer Garmin Navionics+ or Garmin Navionics Vision+ mapping format.
Confirm your unit has a microSD or SD card slot and keep the device software current so premium layers like 3D views and aerial photos display correctly.
Installation and setup
Card format installs by inserting the microSD or SD card into the plotter and selecting the chart from the chart menu. Leave the card in place for normal use on the water.
Download format is loaded from a computer using Garmin Express, then used by inserting the programmed SD card into the plotter. If you use multiple chart regions, label the cards so swaps are straightforward on board.
Use on board
For runs along the south coast of Ireland, the 1-foot contours and depth shading help you read bottom shape near banks and approaches. The 3D views and aerial photos can also help with visual orientation when lining up harbor entrances.
Auto Guidance is a planning feature, so it still needs skipper judgment and a check against local notices, aids to navigation, and real-time conditions.
This chart is a good match for boaters cruising or fishing between Wexford, Cork, and the Dingle Bay area who want g3 Vision layers on a Garmin plotter in a single region card or download.
Care and handling
Keep the card clean and dry, and store it in its case when not in use. If the contacts get salt residue from wet hands, a gentle wipe with a dry cloth helps prevent read errors.
Shipping
We ship worldwide from the United States. Rates are calculated at checkout based on destination and package weight. Some items include free shipping, which will show automatically. Not every product is eligible for international shipping; checkout will confirm eligibility. We do not ship to PO Boxes except through USPS, and not all packages qualify.
Processing and dispatch
Most orders are verified, packed, and handed to the carrier within 1 to 2 business days. Some products may need extra handling time or ship directly from the manufacturer. For certain international orders, inventory transfers between warehouses may add time. If any delay is expected, we will let you know the dispatch date.
Delivery and tracking
Deliveries are handled by trusted carriers such as USPS, UPS, FedEx, and DHL. Estimated arrival times appear at checkout and depend on your location and the service you choose. These are estimates and can be affected by customs or carrier disruptions. A shipping confirmation with a tracking link is emailed when your order ships, and tracking may take up to 24 hours to update. You can also view tracking in your account.
Duties, taxes, and support
International customers are responsible for any customs duties, taxes, and fees charged by the destination country. If these charges are refused and a shipment returns to us, the carrier’s return cost and any re-entry customs fees will be deducted from the refund. If your order is late or you need help, contact cs@qualityboatparts.com and we will assist you.
Quality Boat Parts is a reseller. Many items include a manufacturer’s warranty, and all warranty service is handled directly by the manufacturer. We do not manage or administer warranty claims on behalf of customers.
Warranty terms, coverage, and duration are set by each manufacturer. Issues involving defects, repairs, or replacements must be addressed with the manufacturer’s support team. When available, the warranty period is listed on the product page. If it is not shown, contact us or the manufacturer for details before purchasing.
To start a claim, the customer must contact the manufacturer and follow their process. Keep your proof of purchase and original packaging, and register the product if the manufacturer requires it, as these are often needed for warranty service.
We are happy to help you find the right contact or documentation, but we cannot decide outcomes or intervene in claim resolutions. For guidance, email cs@qualityboatparts.com.
