Overview
The Garmin Navionics U.S. West is a subscription-based electronic chart for compatible Garmin chartplotters, built for navigation on coastal waters and inland lakes in the western U.S. It combines nautical charting with SonarChart bathymetry, and it supports route planning tools such as Auto Guidance+.
Coverage includes the lakes, rivers and coasts of Arizona, California, Colorado, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, North Dakota, Oregon, South Dakota, Utah, Washington and Wyoming, plus Hawaii and the Johnston and Palmyra Atolls. In many areas, the SonarChart layer shows up to 1-foot (0.5 m) contours, which helps when you want a clearer read on bottom structure.
Depending on the version selected, you can add premium viewing layers such as high-resolution relief shading, satellite imagery overlays, aerial photography and 3D views where coverage supports it. A one-year subscription is included for daily chart updates and other available content through the ActiveCaptain app; after the subscription ends, the charts already on the card remain usable, but new updates and additional content cannot be downloaded until the subscription is renewed.
Key features
- U.S. West region coverage for inland and coastal waters, including Hawaii and the Johnston and Palmyra Atolls
- Inland content includes 45,000 lakes, plus coastal content for offshore and nearshore navigation
- SonarChart bathymetry with up to 1-foot (0.5 m) contours in many areas for a more detailed view of bottom structure
- Auto Guidance+ route planning support using your boat settings; route guidance is for planning and does not replace safe navigation
- Depth range shading, shallow water shading and dynamic lake level support to help you focus the display on the depths that matter
- One-year subscription included for daily updates and other available content through the ActiveCaptain app
Variants
This chart is offered in multiple configurations based on chart tier (Garmin Navionics+ or Garmin Navionics Vision+) and delivery format (microSD/SD card or download).
The coverage area remains U.S. West across the range; the differences are the chart tier and whether the chart arrives on a physical card or is loaded onto your own memory card.
- 010-C1292-00: Version Garmin Navionics Vision+, Format microSD/SD. This is a physical chart card that inserts into the chart slot on a compatible Garmin plotter.
- 010-D1894-00: Version Garmin Navionics Vision+, Format Download. Map data is loaded onto your own microSD/SD card with a computer, then that card is used in the plotter.
- 010-C1292-20: Version Garmin Navionics+, Format microSD/SD. This is a physical chart card that inserts into the chart slot on a compatible Garmin plotter.
- 010-D1894-20: Version Garmin Navionics+, Format Download. Map data is loaded onto your own microSD/SD card with a computer, then that card is used in the plotter.
Compatibility and fit
These charts are for compatible Garmin chartplotters and require a microSD or SD chart slot. The display reads chart data from the card that is installed, so if you run more than one Garmin display, plan which unit will hold the chart card (or the downloaded card) while underway.
Installation and updates
For the microSD/SD card format, insert the chart card into the plotter and follow the on-screen prompts if activation is required. For the download format, load the chart data onto your own microSD/SD card first, then insert that card into the plotter.
During the included subscription period, daily updates and other available layers are accessed through the ActiveCaptain app. Updates typically require the chart to be activated to your Garmin account before downloads are available.
Use on board
This chart fits coastal cruising, fishing and lake running where you want consistent navigation detail across ports, bays, rivers and reservoirs in the western U.S. If you spend time in unfamiliar harbors or like to cross-check landmarks, the premium overlays and 3D views included with the Vision+ tier can add helpful context where coverage supports those layers.
Shipping
We ship worldwide from the United States. Rates are calculated at checkout based on destination and package weight. Some items include free shipping, which will show automatically. Not every product is eligible for international shipping; checkout will confirm eligibility. We do not ship to PO Boxes except through USPS, and not all packages qualify.
Processing and dispatch
Most orders are verified, packed, and handed to the carrier within 1 to 2 business days. Some products may need extra handling time or ship directly from the manufacturer. For certain international orders, inventory transfers between warehouses may add time. If any delay is expected, we will let you know the dispatch date.
Delivery and tracking
Deliveries are handled by trusted carriers such as USPS, UPS, FedEx, and DHL. Estimated arrival times appear at checkout and depend on your location and the service you choose. These are estimates and can be affected by customs or carrier disruptions. A shipping confirmation with a tracking link is emailed when your order ships, and tracking may take up to 24 hours to update. You can also view tracking in your account.
Duties, taxes, and support
International customers are responsible for any customs duties, taxes, and fees charged by the destination country. If these charges are refused and a shipment returns to us, the carrier’s return cost and any re-entry customs fees will be deducted from the refund. If your order is late or you need help, contact cs@qualityboatparts.com and we will assist you.
Quality Boat Parts is a reseller. Many items include a manufacturer’s warranty, and all warranty service is handled directly by the manufacturer. We do not manage or administer warranty claims on behalf of customers.
Warranty terms, coverage, and duration are set by each manufacturer. Issues involving defects, repairs, or replacements must be addressed with the manufacturer’s support team. When available, the warranty period is listed on the product page. If it is not shown, contact us or the manufacturer for details before purchasing.
To start a claim, the customer must contact the manufacturer and follow their process. Keep your proof of purchase and original packaging, and register the product if the manufacturer requires it, as these are often needed for warranty service.
We are happy to help you find the right contact or documentation, but we cannot decide outcomes or intervene in claim resolutions. For guidance, email cs@qualityboatparts.com.
