Overview

The Raymarine E70536-00-NAG is a 12.1 inch fishfinder and chartplotter combo with a 1280 x 800 IPS display, 1500 nits of brightness, built-in GPS/GNSS, and Navionics+ USA and Canada chart coverage. It runs on 12 V DC systems with an 8 to 16 V DC operating range, and the housing is rated IPX6 and IPX7 for exposed helm installations.

This package is the no-transducer version. The display has a built-in HyperVision sonar module and a 15-pin HyperVision connector, but sonar performance depends on adding a compatible transducer. With the right transducer in place, it supports RealVision 3D, SideVision, DownVision, and 200 kHz CHIRP sonar, with traditional CHIRP depth capability up to 900 feet and HyperVision imaging up to 125 feet.

The 12 inch screen size makes sense on center consoles, bay boats, bass boats, and pilothouse helms where you want a larger dedicated sounder and chart display without moving into a full multifunction bridge setup. It uses keypad control instead of touch, which is often easier to manage with wet hands, spray, and boat motion.

Key features
  • 12.1 inch IPS display with 1280 x 800 resolution, 1500 nits brightness, and 89 degree viewing angles for clear reading in open daylight
  • Built-in GPS/GNSS receiver with Navionics+ USA and Canada chart coverage included in this package
  • Built-in HyperVision sonar module with a 15-pin connector, ready for a compatible transducer that is sold separately
  • Supports RealVision 3D, SideVision, DownVision, and conical high CHIRP sonar when paired with the correct transducer
  • Traditional 200 kHz CHIRP sonar reaches up to 900 feet, while 1.2 MHz HyperVision modes are tuned for high-detail views up to 125 feet
  • NMEA 2000 and SeaTalkng integration through the included power cable for vessel data, sensors, DSC VHF position sharing, and compatible network inputs
  • Built-in Wi-Fi for software updates and wireless connection with compatible Quantum radar equipment
  • IPX6 and IPX7 water protection, with an operating range from -25 C to 55 C for year-round marine use
Installation and setup

This unit can be trunnion mounted at the helm or flush mounted in a dash panel. It is supplied with both mounting options, plus a combined power and NMEA 2000 cable, so it is straightforward to wire into a 12 V system and a small NMEA 2000 backbone. Raymarine specifies a 5 A inline fuse or a 3 A thermal breaker.

Because this version does not include a transducer, it is a practical fit when you already have a compatible transducer plan, or when you want to choose the sonar package separately around your hull style and fishing depth. For full HyperVision, SideVision, and RealVision 3D capability, pair it with a compatible HyperVision transducer.

Compatibility and fit

The Element 12HV works well as a standalone fishfinder and chartplotter at the helm, and it can share vessel data over NMEA 2000 or SeaTalkng. It also supports AIS data, engine data through a compatible gateway, and position output to a DSC VHF on the same backbone.

It is not the right choice for someone expecting RayNet networking with an Axiom or another Raymarine multifunction display. This model is better suited to boaters who want a dedicated chart and sonar screen with a larger display, built-in Wi-Fi, and straightforward keypad control rather than a networked glass-bridge layout.

Quality Boat Parts is a reseller. Many items include a manufacturer’s warranty, and all warranty service is handled directly by the manufacturer. We do not manage or administer warranty claims on behalf of customers.

Warranty terms, coverage, and duration are set by each manufacturer. Issues involving defects, repairs, or replacements must be addressed with the manufacturer’s support team. When available, the warranty period is listed on the product page. If it is not shown, contact us or the manufacturer for details before purchasing.

To start a claim, the customer must contact the manufacturer and follow their process. Keep your proof of purchase and original packaging, and register the product if the manufacturer requires it, as these are often needed for warranty service.

We are happy to help you find the right contact or documentation, but we cannot decide outcomes or intervene in claim resolutions. For guidance, email cs@qualityboatparts.com.
