Overview
The TACO Marine Latch-tite is a round stainless steel lifting handle for boat hatches, lids, compartments, access panels, and other openings that need a clean pull point with a positive, low-rattle feel. It is offered in 2-1/2 in. and 3 in. round sizes, with cast stainless steel construction, a polished finish, and a concealed fastener layout that keeps the installed look tidy on deck, in the cockpit, or around storage areas.
The handle can be mounted vertically or horizontally, which makes it useful on a wide range of marine openings. Its stainless steel shaft uses a bushing and twin Nitrile O-rings to help reduce water penetration at the handle mechanism, an important detail for hardware exposed to spray, washdowns, and wet hands on board.
Key features
- Round lifting handle for marine hatches, lids, compartments, doors, and access panels.
- Cast stainless steel construction for use in demanding marine hardware applications.
- Polished stainless finish gives the handle a clean appearance on visible deck and cockpit surfaces.
- Stainless steel shaft with bushing and twin Nitrile O-rings helps protect against water entering through the handle assembly.
- Over-center anti-rattle handle helps reduce movement and noise when the boat is underway.
- Concealed fastener design keeps mounting hardware out of sight and reduces exposed snag points.
- Installs vertically or horizontally to suit the opening, panel layout, and available hand clearance.
- Both sizes use #8 screws for installation.
Variants
This Latch-tite lifting handle is offered in two round size configurations. The main difference is the handle diameter and the related cutout and depth dimensions needed for installation.
Both variants share the same round stainless steel Latch-tite handle style, polished finish, anti-rattle handle design, concealed fastener approach, and #8 screw requirement.
- F16-2500, Size 2.5-Inch. This version has a 2-1/2 in. diameter, 5/32 in. edge thickness, 1-3/4 in. adjust depth, 2-1/16 in. hole size, and 2-5/8 in. overall depth, making it the smaller option for tighter hatch or compartment layouts.
- F16-3000, Size 3-Inch. This version has a 3 in. round diameter, 3/32 in. edge thickness, 2-7/8 in. adjust depth, 2-9/16 in. hole size, and 3-13/16 in. overall depth, giving more handle size where the panel and clearance allow it.
Installation and fit
Before cutting or drilling, check the available panel thickness, back-side clearance, hole size, and overall depth for the selected variant. The 3 in. version needs a larger hole and more depth behind the surface than the 2-1/2 in. version, so the size choice should be matched to the hatch, lid, or door construction.
The handle is suitable for horizontal or vertical mounting, so it can be aligned with the way the opening is used. On frequently opened lockers or hatches, confirm that nearby cushions, hinges, trim, and gasket areas will not interfere with the handle travel.
Use cases on board
This handle is a good match for builders, refit projects, and owners replacing worn hatch or compartment hardware with a polished stainless round handle. It works especially well where a clean finished look matters, such as cockpit lockers, deck access panels, storage lids, and other visible marine openings.

Quality Boat Parts is a reseller. Many items include a manufacturer’s warranty, and all warranty service is handled directly by the manufacturer. We do not manage or administer warranty claims on behalf of customers.
Warranty terms, coverage, and duration are set by each manufacturer. Issues involving defects, repairs, or replacements must be addressed with the manufacturer’s support team. When available, the warranty period is listed on the product page. If it is not shown, contact us or the manufacturer for details before purchasing.
To start a claim, the customer must contact the manufacturer and follow their process. Keep your proof of purchase and original packaging, and register the product if the manufacturer requires it, as these are often needed for warranty service.
