Overview
The TACO Marine Carbon Fiber Twist & Lock Tele-Outrigger pole range is a pair of telescoping carbon fiber outrigger poles for offshore trolling setups where strength, line control, and quick base attachment matter. These black poles use a Twist & Lock butt design, so they attach to compatible TACO outrigger mounts without lining up a separate pin or bolt hole.
The range includes 20' and 24' configurations, both with a 1-1/2" diameter and black carbon fiber construction with a clear UV-resistant coating. The 20' version retracts to less than 8' and the 24' version retracts to less than 9', which helps with bridge clearance, storage, and trailering after a run offshore.
Stainless-steel Type-316L swivel rings, anodized aluminum collars, and a triple outrigger line layout make these poles suited to mono or Dacron halyard setups. They are sold in pairs for port and starboard rigging on sportfishing boats using compatible TACO Pro Series mounts.
Key features
- Twist & Lock butt design attaches to compatible TACO mounts without searching for a pin or bolt hole.
- UV-resistant, clear-coated black carbon fiber pole construction for exposed hardtop and T-top installations.
- 1-1/2" pole diameter across both sizes for use with the compatible TACO outrigger mount family.
- Telescoping design retracts below 8' on the 20' version and below 9' on the 24' version for trailering and bridge clearance.
- Stainless-steel Type-316L swivel rings and anodized aluminum collars support long-term use around salt spray.
- Triple outrigger line design supports mono or Dacron line layouts for offshore trolling spreads.
- Swivel roller collar design lets rollers track toward the lure or bait direction, helping reduce friction on halyard lines.
- Adjustable roller line caddy with stainless steel rollers and brass bushings helps keep rigging organized from the T-top or gunwale.
Variants
This outrigger pole range is offered in two size configurations. The main difference is pole length, retracted length, and compatible TACO mount fitment.
Both versions share the black carbon fiber finish, 1-1/2" diameter, Twist & Lock butt design, triple outrigger line layout, and paired packaging.
- OT-4240CF-HD: 24-foot size. This longer configuration telescopes to less than 9' and is listed for TACO GS-450, GS-500, and GS-500XL mounts, giving larger offshore boats more spread width while still allowing easier storage and clearance.
- OT-4200CF-HD: 20-foot size. This configuration telescopes to less than 8' and is listed for the TACO GS-500 mount, with a boat size rating up to 50'.
Installation and setup
These poles are intended for boats already using compatible TACO Pro Series outrigger mounts. The Twist & Lock connection reduces the usual handling around pin alignment at the base, which is helpful when setting up at the dock or getting the spread ready before a trolling pass.
The adjustable roller line caddy supports rigging to a T-top or gunwale, and the locking pin design keeps the poles from collapsing when fully extended. After fishing, the telescoping sections collapse for transport, storage, and reduced overhead clearance.
Use cases on board
This range fits offshore anglers running a wider trolling spread for ballyhoo, mullet, squid chains, dredges, or mixed lure and bait presentations. The 20' version is a practical match for many center consoles up to 50', while the 24' version gives additional reach on larger boats with the listed compatible mount setup.
