Overview
The TACO Marine T-Top Tube Light Aluminium is a hard-wired LED tube light for T-tops, bridges, and overhead utility lighting on boats. It combines bright white output with a secondary color light, giving the helm or cockpit practical illumination for setup, cleanup, chart reading, and low-glare use after dark.
The light uses 108 LEDs and produces 300 lumens of white light with 150 lumens from the color light. A 3-way switch on the end of the unit toggles between color, white, and off, so the lighting mode can be changed at the fixture without adding a separate control panel.
An IP67 non-submersible rating, impact-resistant polycarbonate lens, and polished anodized aluminum housing make this a strong fit for exposed marine locations that see spray, washdowns, vibration, and wake impact. The low draw of less than 0.5 amps helps reduce battery load on small boat electrical systems.
Key features
- 108 LEDs with 300 lumens of white output and 150 lumens of color output for practical overhead lighting.
- 3-way switch on the end of the light toggles from color to white to off.
- Low electrical draw of less than 0.5 amps for extended use without heavy battery demand.
- IP67 non-submersible rating for spray, washdowns, and wet topside locations.
- Impact-resistant polycarbonate lens helps protect the LEDs in active cockpit and helm areas.
- Polished anodized aluminum housing suits visible T-top and bridge installations.
- Pre-drilled housing supports a cleaner mounting process on tops, arches, and similar overhead structures.
- 14-foot wiring cable gives installers extra reach for routing through most tops and bridges.
Variants
This T-Top Tube Light is offered in two lighting configurations. Both versions use the same tube-light format with white output plus one secondary color output.
The variant difference is the secondary LED color. The white output is used for general task lighting, while the color output gives the cockpit or helm a lower-glare lighting mode for nighttime use.
- F38-2050B-1: White/Blue light. The blue mode adds a cooler accent light that works well around T-tops, cockpit areas, and overhead utility locations.
- F38-2050R-1: White/Red light. The red mode is useful around the helm when a softer nighttime light is preferred for chart reading and instrument-area visibility.
Installation and setup
This is a hard-wired light, so installation should be planned around the boat's DC lighting circuit, switching needs, cable routing, and overcurrent protection already used on board. The 14-foot cable is helpful when routing through a T-top frame, bridge structure, or overhead mounting area before tying into the vessel wiring.
The pre-drilled housing reduces layout work during mounting, but the surface should still be checked for clearance, drainage, wire exit position, and access for future service. On aluminum tops or arches, installers should use hardware and isolation practices that suit the surrounding materials and the saltwater environment.
Use cases on board
This light is a good match for center consoles, fishing boats, and cruising boats that need overhead lighting near the helm, cockpit, T-top, or bridge. White light helps with rigging tackle, checking gear, or cleaning up after a run, while the secondary color mode gives a gentler option when full white light is not needed.

Quality Boat Parts is a reseller. Many items include a manufacturer’s warranty, and all warranty service is handled directly by the manufacturer. We do not manage or administer warranty claims on behalf of customers.
Warranty terms, coverage, and duration are set by each manufacturer. Issues involving defects, repairs, or replacements must be addressed with the manufacturer’s support team. When available, the warranty period is listed on the product page. If it is not shown, contact us or the manufacturer for details before purchasing.
To start a claim, the customer must contact the manufacturer and follow their process. Keep your proof of purchase and original packaging, and register the product if the manufacturer requires it, as these are often needed for warranty service.
We are happy to help you find the right contact or documentation, but we cannot decide outcomes or intervene in claim resolutions. For guidance, email cs@qualityboatparts.com.
