Overview
The TACO Marine Cork Outrigger Line Stops is a pair of cork stops for outrigger rigging, used to protect outrigger guides and release clips while helping prevent snags when baits are deployed. This is a simple part, but it matters in a trolling spread because a clean-moving outrigger line reduces hang-ups and keeps the rigging easier to manage from the cockpit.
Each stop is made from cork and has a 3/16-inch diameter hole for rigging. The range is offered in 1-1/4-inch and 1-3/4-inch diameters, so the main choice is the stop size that best suits the existing outrigger setup and the amount of stop surface wanted at the guide or release point.
Key features
- Cork construction keeps the stop light on the outrigger line while still giving it a practical contact surface.
- Helps protect outrigger guides and release clips from direct contact during normal bait deployment.
- Helps reduce snags in outrigger guides, which is useful when setting or resetting trolling baits.
- 3/16-inch diameter rigging hole supports straightforward installation on compatible outrigger line setups.
- Available in 1-1/4-inch and 1-3/4-inch diameters for different outrigger rigging preferences.
- Sold in pairs, matching the way many outrigger line stop installations are handled on port and starboard setups.
Variants
This product is offered in two diameter options for different outrigger rigging layouts.
The diameter changes between the variants, while the cork material, 3/16-inch rigging hole, and pair packaging are consistent across the range.
- COK-0017-2: 1-1/4-inch diameter. This smaller stop keeps the setup compact while still giving the outrigger line a cork stop for guide and release clip protection.
- COK-0018-2: 1-3/4-inch diameter. This larger stop gives more contact area at the stopping point, which can be useful on setups where a bigger stop is easier to see and handle.
Installation and use
These stops are meant to be rigged onto the outrigger line through the center hole. Once positioned as part of the rigging, the cork stop acts as a buffer point so the line hardware is less likely to pull directly into the guide or release clip area.
They are most relevant for offshore and coastal trolling boats that use outriggers for bait presentation. For best fit, match the stop diameter to the existing outrigger layout, line path, and available clearance around the guide and release clip.
