Overview
The TACO Marine OT-CF Series is a pair of black carbon fiber tele-outrigger poles for offshore trolling setups that need reach, line control, and manageable weight. These poles telescope to less than 8' for bridge clearance, trailering, and storage, while the 1-1/2" diameter fits compatible universal mounts and TACO Marine Grand Slam GS-390 and GS-400 mounts.
The clear-coated black carbon fiber construction helps reduce weight compared with traditional aluminum outriggers, and the cylindrical pole design supports demanding trolling spreads such as dredges of ballyhoo, mullet, or squid at higher speeds. Stainless-steel Type-316L swivel rings, anodized aluminum collars, and a patented swivel roller layout help the lines track naturally as lures or bait move through the spread.
This pair is a strong match for offshore center consoles, sportfish boats, and serious coastal fishing boats where the crew needs collapsible outriggers that still have the length for a wider trolling pattern.
Key features
- Sold as a pair of black carbon fiber tele-outrigger poles for offshore trolling applications.
- Telescopes to less than 8' to help with bridge clearance, storage, and trailering.
- 1-1/2" outrigger diameter works with compatible universal mounts and TACO Marine Grand Slam GS-390 and GS-400 mounts.
- UV-resistant clear-coated black carbon fiber pole construction helps handle sun exposure in a marine environment.
- Stainless-steel Type-316L swivel rings and anodized aluminum collars support long-term use around saltwater.
- Double line layout on the 16' poles and triple line layout on the 20' poles support mono or Dacron outrigger lines.
- Patented swivel roller design lets the rollers turn toward the direction of lures or bait for a more natural spread action.
- Locking pin design holds the poles when fully extended and still allows them to collapse for storage.
- Includes an adjustable roller line caddy with stainless steel rollers and brass bushings for rigging to a T-top or gunnel.
Variants
The product is offered in two length configurations. Both variants share the same black carbon fiber finish, 1-1/2" diameter, paired format, telescoping storage length under 8', and compatibility with GS-390 and GS-400 outrigger mounts.
The main differences are the extended pole length, the recommended boat size, and the outrigger line layout. The 16' version uses a double outrigger line layout, while the 20' version uses a triple outrigger line layout.
- OT-3160CF: Length 16'. This version weighs 6.9 lbs each and is listed for boats up to 35' long, making it the more compact option in the range while still giving offshore trolling crews a wider spread.
- OT-4200CF: Length 20'. This version weighs 7.4 lbs each and is listed for boats up to 50' long, with a triple line layout for larger trolling spreads.
Installation and fit
These poles are made for mounts that accept 1-1/2" outriggers. Before ordering, check the mount model on the boat and confirm that the mounting base, T-top, or hardtop has the clearance needed for the selected pole length when deployed and when collapsed.
The telescoping format is useful on boats that move between offshore runs, marinas, low bridges, and trailer storage. The adjustable roller line caddy helps keep the rigging organized whether it is run to the T-top or down to the gunnel.
Use on board
For crews pulling dredges and multiple bait lines, these outriggers help widen the spread and keep lines managed away from the wake. The 16' pair suits smaller offshore boats that need reach without adding unnecessary length, while the 20' pair suits larger boats that need a broader pattern.
